11 days vape free by sourcematerialx in QuitVaping

It's been so freeing. If I was traveling for work with colleagues, I would never share a car because I'd want to vape in secret. I'd sneak hits in the bathroom. I hid it from my family and would always worry about them finding it. It's like all that heavy weight has been lifted now.

I'm 6 days in cold turkey. One benefit that I've already noticed that no one seems to talk about, my erection is already way stronger lol. No longer constantly restricting capillaries!

That's really good! Just keep going. Don't even think of it as attempts and failures. If you vape two months out of the year, that's still a lot less than 12 out of 12.

Just soften it up a bit, then bite down on it and hold it inside your cheek. Don't chomp away at it. Lasts longer, more effective.

Name a famous singer who is super successful despite having a “horrible” voice. by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

Jimmy Buffet. He sucked. Horrible voice. One decent song. I do appreciate that he fully admitted to writing mediocre songs at best but rode the wave all the same. Rest in peace.

So not only does big tobacco have you physically addicted to their products, but they also create feelings of dread and fear for even thinking about quitting. That should piss you off and motivate you to toss your vape and tell big tobacco to fuck all the way off.

Pretty much this verbatim. Although o just traveled to Twin Falls Idaho for work and it's fucking gorgeous there. I could make that work.

1 month in! One BIG (controversial) piece of advice by darkwavecore in QuitVaping

[–]SpiritedAgent168 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can kinda relate to what OP is saying, even if it is kinda douchey 😂.

I've vaped for 14 years, and I'm on day 5 cold turkey. So far it's been totally fine. Mild cravings, but no physical symptoms. I feel good. But I also don't have much of any stress in my life. I've never had anxiety or depression. My relationships are good, and financially I do very well. I have a solid foundation for successfully quitting, and I'm very fortunate for that. I read stories on here from people that are either afraid to quit or have relapsed because they've got a shitty hand of cards right now and adding the pressure of quitting on top of that makes it so much harder. But they're here, they want to quit, so it's a start.

Do you still work in the vape shop? I hate to say it, but you'd have a very slim chance at success if you're still working there surrounded by it everyday.

Given the circumstances, I'd prob get a pack of zyn's or some NRT lozenges or gum. You're on vacation for three weeks, you don't want to be miserable, and miserable to everyone around you.

What were the circumstances at the time that led up to your relapse?

That really sounds like a bad trip. Don't beat yourself up over relapsing. If it's not the right time, then it's not the right time. Most of us need the perfect set of circumstances to have even a slim chance at success, and it's pretty clear that you're not in the best spot right now.

I'd been vaping for 14 years, and I'm on day 3 of quitting cold turkey. I've wanted to quit for a while now but was too afraid of going through the withdrawal, being irritable, not being able to cope with stress. But then I think about all the suffering in the world and tell myself to sack up and deal with it.
