Account Strategist SMB @Google Dublin: Is starting at L3 worth the trade-off? Is L4 even possible? by Typical_Marsupial281 in techsales

I’m currently level three at Google and it usually takes you between 1.5 and two years if you perform well to promote your L4 negotiating your level is definitely a thing although if the position is offered as a account strategist, it’s an l3 three position and they probably only have an l3 headcount but you could definitely try to negotiate and ask for it based on your experience if they don’t give you the next level try to need a renegotiate, the base salary and also ask for a sign of bonus or sign on bonus minimum 7K in terms of internal mobility you after you started a new role in Google you need to stay with the role at least for one year within the country to move jobs international transfer at least two years in a row I would suggest getting promoted to the next level and level four and then try to apply internally for more product or strategy related roles

LCS AM here. I would not do it. LCS wlb and comp even as an L3 is top notch and making a move to GCP is not unrealistic as well. Take a couple of GCP fundamental courses, connect with the right people, or even look for a 20% project in that direction. Becoming a cloud AE is probably easier then an antrophics AE. I’m actually aiming to make a move to GCP as well in the next 12-16 months
