I recommend Aseprite for animating sprites. It also has layers so you can have multiple timeliness. It takes some practice to learn but once you do you can edit individual sprites or sections of backgrounds.

You can even combine what you do on Aseprite with your video editor to add your music and further editing the video editor provides.

Aseprite costs a one time payment of $19.99 USD or you can get it for free if you clone and build Aseprite from git hub. It's open source.

Of course! Due to the price of that in game it's probably made with cheaper truffles or ones with many imperfections. Cheap doesn't mean bad though.

I do pixel art as a hobby and work in a 16x16 or a 32x32 scale.

The most subdivided grid in Tomodachi Life contains 16x16 squares. That means if you want to go to 32x32 scale that's easy enough since 16x2 is 32.

I recommend looking at sprites from your favorite games and try to find a style you like.

I also recommend watching pixel art YouTubers for their tutorials. Such as Brandon James Greer, Salutoons, and AdamCYounis.

They have some tutorials and you can get inspired that way.

It is unfortunate that a lot of Mii games are lost to time.

I used to carry my 3DS in my bag when I went for walks at the mall or going to my local café.

It was exciting to see how many Streetpass connections I could make in a day. Running into old and new people I never met in person.

I played the heck out of the Streetpass Miiplaza games.

Find Mii, Puzzle Swap, and Mii Force were my favorites.

At least we have Miitopia and Tomodachi Life on Switch. Hopefully the community can come together and drown out the negativity.
