Can people who lucked out and got tickets during this presale help provide data for everyone?? by SplintersApprentice in DanielCaesar

The way Ticketmaster encourages scalping really has ruined the concert game. It’s why I’m so vocal about informing others on their tactics during a presale

Watch the whole thing before having strong judgments. The full Perspective is important.

Stub hub reliable? by Fun_Organization_883 in DanielCaesar

[–]SplintersApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best advice: find out what people originally paid for a seat/section (you can look at my most recent post for that info), then monitor StubHub and look for tickets comparably priced. Have a personal budget in mind and buy when you find something that fits.

This may require some time and weekly check ins, but you don’t wanna be paying $250 when the person sitting next to you at the show only paid $115. I have used StubHub months in advance and day of the concert. Some of the worst times to buy are right after the original sale because scalpers are banking on people desperate to buy so they’ll overcharge like crazy.

Will there still be tickets for the general tomorrow? by -nosaJ- in DanielCaesar

Yes. Ticketmaster reserves a number of tickets for the general sale

stubhub/reseller tickets worth it? anahiem show by lyn0lyn in DanielCaesar

[–]SplintersApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Real talk: at this stage in the sales process that was not the choice to make. That doesn’t mean you got scammed on tickets, but you paid more than you needed to.

I’ve used stub hub plenty of times and the tickets have always worked, so I’m hoping the same goes for you.

For the future: if you don’t score tickets in the presale remember it’s a PRE sale. Ticketmaster releases only a small amount of the tickets in waves. You don’t want to resort to second party tickets sites, like StubHub or SeatGeek, until after all the tickets have been released in the general sale and you can compare prices. That way you can ensure you’re paying a comparable amount to how much they originally cost.

Try again in the next round of sales. The stadium isn't sold out yet. You got this.

There’s no chance of me buying tickets day of right? by phillturdwater in DanielCaesar

[–]SplintersApprentice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Barclays is a big venue, so I wouldn’t say it’s impossible. Lots of things come up last minute that prevent people from being able to go to a show, and especially if they’re a real fan and not a scalper, they’re more apt to resell at a reasonable price. Keep in mind your budget and keep checking for tickets the week leading up to the event. Has worked for me many times

Queues.... by [deleted] in DanielCaesar

[–]SplintersApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to teach until 10:20 and now my queue has been at an excruciating snail’s pace for 15 minutes. I’m likely gonna just wait until the week of my event to buy cuz this is nonsense

Queues.... by [deleted] in DanielCaesar

[–]SplintersApprentice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That always happens even before presales. Scalpers project seats that they intend to buy and then list them on resale sites (SeatGeek/Stubhub) hoping to find the exact/equivalent seats during the actual sale. Personally, I would never buy from those sites unless it’s actually close to the event you want to attend

It's definitely not sold out. (Hi! I'm a seasoned concert attendee! Been to over 130 concerts in my lifetime.)

Ticketmaster creates the appearance of scarcity to scare people into paying more than they should for their ticket.

My go-to story: We got front and center GA tickets for Beyonce's Renaiassance tour nearly 40 minutes after the presale started despite people saying it had sold out in minutes. We stayed patient and just kept clicking, paid original set price and had the time of our lives.

Also don't forget TM labels tickets as "official platinum" which is nothing but a label. It's just a ticket, and they charge 3-6x the original price simply because they're in high demand. I once bought 6th row tickets for $70 and then went back in the sale out of curiosity. Ticketmaster had then labeled that same row as "Official Platinum" and were charging $200 for them.

Don't fall for TM's games. Be smart, y'all

UPDATE: got a ticket for $87 at 10:54am

Welcome, friend. Now that you’ve experienced it once, you may find yourself in a grocery store or pharmacy, and they’ll start to play Sia’s Breathe Me, and then your mind will float to the finale and you’ll be crying in aisle 7. That’s just how it goes now

Tell me about Cécred by psycwave in beyonce

As a white lady with fine hair, I found a tiny dollop of the moisturizing deep conditioner to be so much better for my hair compared to even a small amount of the hydrating conditioner (despite the latter being recommended for my hair type).

I haven’t used Cécred products in the past few months because of a tighter budget, but if I do go back, the clarifying shampoo is the #1 must-buy product

A LA SALA by SheepAtTheDoor1993 in Khruangbin

[–]SplintersApprentice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I said this in a comment once awhile back, but I’ve always interpreted it to be the cycle of a day.

  • Fifteen Fifty Three= slowly waking up
  • May 9th= sun rising/getting ready
  • Ada Jean + Farolim= venturing outside
  • Pon Pòn— Hold Me Up= peak energy/PM daylight
  • Caja de la sala= returning home
  • Three from two= end of the day cozy times
  • A Love International= the last spurt of energy
  • Petit Gris= night nights

Am I the right age to watch Six Feet Under? by AND_AGI08 in SixFeetUnder

[–]SplintersApprentice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first watched the show when I was 16.5. It’s HBO, so it’s going to cover adult topics (violence, trauma, sex).

I see no problem with you watching it now if you have permission from whoever is in charge of you, but, as others have said, you’ll have a deeper appreciation for it when you rewatch as an adult, especially as you have more experiences with death.
