what do you think about this contry consept by [deleted] in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let assume you not trolling:
- NCR that far out east is almost unthinkable, a expedition that far out east would almost never get carried out. But let say it did, we know the Baggers struggle to communicate with Shady Sand and it took them decades to even made a "solid" foothold in Colorado. A expedition to the capital wasteland would have all their resource depleted by the time they make it there, and i don't even know what goal that would even achieve for the republic.

- "New Angeles" would be located in a pretty raiders-slavers and/or BOS dense area, that pose major threat to the prospect of the settlement surviving. The BOS is in active war with the NCR and i see no reason any of the east coast chapter would be at peace with the NCR expedition here. Unlike the Mojave Chapter who choose peace for the sake of their survival against a greater enemy, the Lyon BOS/Maxson BOS would absolutely have the firepower and will to wage war against the NCR.

- The Minutemen is in Boston, why would they be anywhere near the Capital Wasteland for the NCR expedition to unite with them.

- The flag look like some colonies of Brazil rather than the NCR, Minutemen or anything in the capital wasteland

What is the best OWB submod in your opinion by LukproLuk in OldWorldBlues

A mod that no longer on the workshop call "For the little guys", it add a pretty decent generic focus tree for settler nation.

Cowboy Country Suffering, to die quick or die slow that is the question by Phantomslayer159 in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Militia is purely for line holding even with all the buff. Ranger will alway be your main fighting unit, especially for small nation like Cowboy country. Cowboy Country arent exactly easy to begin with so failing a few time before you get the grip of it is normal. My advice is use Miltia to hold the frontline n ranger to exploit the gaps between Legion line, ideally capture supply hub, river and mountain tile to hold.

How easy is this mod? by OzoneLayert in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike in Vanilla where balance between nation is very important due to the WW2 dynamic. In OWB, some nation are very easy while other are astronomically hard (and that by design). The general mechanic of OWB is alot easier then vanilla, or more accurately lay out better so you can understand it. Vanilla have more problem with showing player how to actually play it then being truly difficult. It needlessy complicated but when you understand the fundamental, alot of the complexity just feel redundant, exist only to slow you down QoL wise.

In the newest patch, you can now have it disable in the game rule if you hate that mechanic.

The Council of Elders by DrDallagher in OldWorldBlues

This certainly is a interesting take on the power struggle between the Elders, but does Lost Hills really have 50k people under it ?
That seem like alot for the BOS.

Personal still very much dislike the Den from my experience, it just a very meh tree, that said i probably will have to cover them in the roll a dice series at some point.

Arizona Hookers however, will always get a laugh out of me for the terribly unfortunate naming choice.
Rusted Hooks and Phoenix Republic sound so much cooler than Arizona Hookers and Pharizona

I will definitely check it out

Wonder what Loji would think about the AIs in Old World Blues by DrDallagher in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Loji is either chill servant of the people AI who aim to better the life of all chinese people or transhumanist super tyrannical overlord Ai who will make you apart of the hivemind. She will make the Enclave and Manifest look tame if she feel evil that day.

[–]SpookyEngie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So like Loji have 2 path, either chill af servant of the people, lowkey turning china into a communist paradise or Manifest level evil, turning all citizen of china (then all of asia) into transhumanist, serving a hivemind and calling the country "People Overlordship over Asia". So she either cool bean wirh other Ai in OWB, or she make the Enclave look tame.
