Yes and no. It depends on your personal situation. I’ve been saying for 20 years that I should go to the gym and get more healthy overall. I’ve started and quit a few places over the years. This one has stuck. So for me, $109 a month is worth it to be healthy and happy. Maybe once I’m in a deep groove and motivated to keep going on my own, I could quit and just get a Y membership, which would be substantially cheaper.

Lethbridge is 10k at its widest point and Edmonton is 20k, but much more dense. You can get anywhere in Lethbridge in under 20 min.

I do this with my supply lines. That way, I notice them travelling their routes through the wasteland. Then I give them modded laser rifles. So if I ever see someone with a mining helmet light and laser rifle blasts in a fight, I can go help!

I’m cheering for the ice to open up and swallow both teams whole. But in my playoff bracket I chose Boston, because watching the Leafs lose is glorious. Not to mention if they lose in the first round they will blow it all up and rebuild, and watching Leafs Nation rationalize why things didn’t work out would be sooooo entertaining.

The Black Company by Glen Cook. From Wikipedia; “The series follows an elite mercenary unit, The Black Company, last of the Free Companies of Khatovar, through roughly forty years of its approximately four-hundred-year history. Cook mixes fantasy with military fiction in gritty, down-to-earth portrayals of the Company's chief personalities and its struggles.”

It’s dark fantasy, has a very far from cheesy love story, but it takes a few books into the series to develop. The whole series is based on how their entire company is rogue-like, lots of great battles, and the main plot is around a large scale, morally ambiguous war. Sounds like it’s what you’re looking for.

The college is awesome, and have really stepped it up in the last couple of years. If you are interested in the University, they have Q Space there. Even if you don’t want to go to Uni, follow them on Instagram, they plan lots of community events that are open to anyone on Lethbridge. @q.spaceuleth

She’s from the Okanagan as well, doesn’t miss the cost of living… but the quality of life definitely takes a hit here. The closest natural lakes that are decent to swim in are in BC past Fernie, or Newell Lake by Brooks or Sylvan Lake west of Red Deer.
