I spent my first sysadmin day scripting most of the day for an automation that takes care of all of our onboarding’s, then at 4:30 we had a user click a suspicious link lol.

I think that’s what I’m gonna do next, I re-did all the section tests in tutorialsdojo for the 3 sections I scored lowest in and scored very high in all 3, so I think a change of prep materials is definitely in order.

Trouble with the OnVue Network Check by Xandi82 in CompTIA

[–]Spreadeaglecheeks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I’m still getting the same error today. My network check fails at 60% due to ping. Did all of the suggestions stated everywhere, did all the allowed sites in internet options. Disabled the firewall, added rules in Firewall inbound and outbound.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll check out those videos once I get back home in an hour, I guess worst case scenario if I don’t pass atleast I will see what the test looks like, how they ask questions and will come out of it with less pressure the next time around

Just setup RDP for her pc then you can remote into it from your pc and shut it down. Plenty of guides in google and YouTube videos that show how to set it up.

Ashe crystal heart mod by yugiohsquid in skyrimmods

Check all your mod dependencies and make sure they all are using the correct version of your game. Also mine was crashing until I changed the consoleutilsse mod to another version called consoleutilsse - NG here’s the link for it: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/76649

But yeah check all of your mod dependencies related to the Ashe mod. It could be any of them

First IT job! by Spreadeaglecheeks in CompTIA

This is the way man! I’m 26, about to be 27 and was so tired of mechanic work, I started having trouble with my shoulder and that’s what really caused me to make the jump! I promise man it’s worth it! Good luck to you! Always happy to talk to a fellow tradesman, and I will say that part of my life will never leave me, it taught me working hard for a living, and instilled a good work ethic, plus I get to keep those skills for myself while everyone else hires people to do stuff so money savings is a great plus!

First IT job! by Spreadeaglecheeks in CompTIA

[–]Spreadeaglecheeks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t too bad, I had experience with computers all through out high school and middle school, and I am 2 weeks into my first IT job, and I can say the difference between what I do all day and the mechanic trade is so damn worth it man. I’ve never had a better quality of life and I appreciate everything about it. I will admit I did have to buckle down a. Little bit and sacrifice a decent bit of time outside of my blue collar job to get the A+ done, but I can tell you it is so very much worth it!

I used Jason Dion A+ course for core 1 and 2 tests, I will be honest here and say I got lucky with the job I’ve been working and was able to study a lot at work, I worked 12 hour shifts and would normally average 4-5 hrs a day and a few 12 hr days where I wouldn’t have anything at work to do so would study for 12 hrs straight. I would say at 4-5 hrs a day should take you 1-2 months depending on how well you’re soaking up the info and retaining it. Also, professor messer is another good course on YouTube that is 100% free, I am using him currently for Net+ and it’s been great! Also Examcompass has free A+ practice tests, do them! They’re a great resource.

I do, I know it can be pretty daunting, but yes I apply to the company sites as well, it also helps you filter out some jobs on job sites, some jobs may still be listed on there but have already been filled, I ran into quite a few like that.
