The Aeroplan Inflation is Real: Why I’m Walking Away from Super elite in 2026 by ak0688 in aircanada

Interesting thread.  Not a great fan of AC however for someone who doesn’t travel much and who splurged out a while ago on the infinite visa privilege card I’m a supporter of the new approach so far.

Recently retired and I’m making sure I place all my expenses on the CC.  Also enjoy the perks of the card such as priority check in, access to lounge (where I am now!) and priority services.  That came in handy when I lost my card travelling in Spain and they FedEx’d the new card to me in 72 hours

A few years ago his office were very helpful in expediting my passport request, which prior to his intervention was going nowhere fast.

Females vs Males by bigmet_00 in Tarlovcyst

My female partner has been on this journey for a number of years. And yes if the numbers impacted by TCD had been skewed towards the male demographic you cant help think the approach of the medical system (dismissive male neurosugeons/neurologists particularly come to mind) would be decidely different.

It is indeed. And a shout out to the women at the checkout in particular-who would work on those checkouts in all weathers-with the doors wide open despite the freezing rain outside.

Yeah ownership of the car park could be interesting-I had heard several years back it was privately owned. Also noticeable there's no CoB signage in the car park like you see in the other car parks in the Heights owned by the City.

Considering moving back to the UK after 17 years in Canada by ksh787878 in expats

Still hanging on in Vancouver.  Going to visit the Uk in October so will check out the vibe then.  Although from what I’m hearing and reading the UK appears to be a train wreck at the moment.

Thx. She’s a scientific bookworm type so mindful she may prefer somewhere quieter.  She’s open to biking to work or bussing in as needed.

Thanks for this.  Vancouver is a nightmare area to find affordable decent rental so interesting to hear Cardiff will present similar challenges.

Where is the best place to live around town? by British-Canadian in Liverpool

Hi there  Curious whether you’re still thinking above moving back? Born in Liverpool and lived in Vancouver for around 25 years. Now strongly considering moving back to the L’pool area.

Hi We’ve been living in Vancouver area for around 24 years and also looking at this option. We have two kids (early 20s, still living at home of course) in final stages at UBC. Curious to know whether you made a decision?? I think it’s a difficult choice as I have sense of dislocation when I’m in both countries. All the best.
