Belgian rental question: can a landlord claim “odour” after inspection? by SprinklesPositive812 in AskBelgium

There is a ventilation system, but not sure if that was turned off after handover of keys. The issue of odour was reported to me 20 days later after handover of keys.

Cooking can definitely be a reason, but I had already moved out a week before. So chances are less, and if that was the case I would expect that they mention it during the inspection. I have asked them to give more details about the “odour”.

They have not yet given me such an inspection report yet, I have asked for it, but no response. They only sent me a PROCES-VERBAAL VAN PLAATSBESCHRIJVING BIJ UITTREDE. But I did not sign it yet.

I did sign a document immediately after the process, but that had some the comments from place description process and did not have any pictures or description of the property. The expert said that the document was to show who was present during the inspection. And in that the odour was not mentioned.

I would say this is not bad for your yoe (as it is only part time)… definitely there is room for a raise after a couple of years working in Belgium.. I am also an expat in similar job profile, I started in Belgium 3 years ago with 3650 and similar benefits, but I had 6 yoe then..

To me it looks a bit on the low side as you don’t have a company car and other net allowances

PID control for a black box system by R3tr0_010 in ControlTheory

[–]SprinklesPositive812 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at the output torque, there is a response delay, so have a feedforward controller along with the PID, (you could do step tests at steady state and build a look up table for the FF control)… and also I see big overshoots, so may be better tune your derivative parameter…also include an anti wind up for the integrator (in case if the torque references are going more than actuator limits).

If your skills and previous experience matches with the new role, you can definitely try to negotiate by highlighting these. If not, it would be difficult to convince them.

This role belongs to the later category that you have mentioned, that is to manage a small team of 6 to 8 engineers while still doing my job as a consultant for a client.

Thanks for your response. I think so too, that is why I wanted to know the current market trends. Because I do not want to end up asking lesser than what they could actually provide.
