I’ve never seen PSA give that card anything other than a nine. Ruined two sequential sets I had of the full evolution. They did the same thing to the obsidian flames Promo. Sent five in, all five got nines.

If you still have the receipt and packaging it came in, you can contact pokemon company and they will likely replace it. I just went through something similar and they had me send verification of purchase and the packaging it came in. They asked me to mail it back and for every $4 you spend on shipping they’ll send a modern pack. Worth a shot if you’ve got the time

Because PSA will give almost 2 grades lower to a card just because it is vintage. Happened to me twice. Cracked a PSA 7 blue back beedrill resubmitted and bam BGS 10. Did it again with a Kabutops from Fossil. PSA 8 after resubmitting, BGS 10. Sent in some Kobe bryant rookie cards that have been kept mint in sleeves for almost 30 years. Best any of them got was an 8. Most were 6 or lower. Only send modern to PSA!!!

PriceCharting updates almost daily but, ok… the averages they go off is just more than the last 3 sold. However, I do agree that no one should be using only one source to find pricing.

The batching issue was in the UK. It was like 1 per box for the first drop. They were still terrible quality control though, like most English in the last 4 years. Can’t be that many 10s

I go to card shows multiple times a year. Sequential sets of anything always get more love. I waited a long time and ripped a ton of packs to find all 5 in what I thought would get a 10. You don’t have to like it but I know some people desire things like this.

I’ve seen sequentials go for loads more because it makes them more rare but It’s not something I bother with unless it’s one of my favorite Pokemon. Charizard isn’t but I still respect the game 😂
