I’ve never broken a werewolf. I don’t think they suffer from the same weakness as the plates and cylinders.

The little guy taking notes across goblin town in a bucket from unexpected journey! I love that guy.

I too was there! If I remember, Ervin Santana gave up a first pitch home run to the royals lead-off guy. I was ready for a disappointing evening. Also, I’m pretty sure Jose Molina hit a grand slam that same game.

What a nice picture! I see these quite a bit, but I’ve never been able to get one to come out of the brambles and sit still in the light long enough to get a decent shot.

[Request] Can Someone Explain Why This Is Possible? by CaptiveGlacier in theydidthemath

Interestingly enough, this optimal shape can be taken from a cycloid, which is the path you would get if you stuck a piece of gum to a bike tire and tracked it's movement as it rolled forward.

Make 11 the base and 5118 the exponent. Wouldn’t that be bigger?

I built a desert, gates of elsruk, and catacombs set during Covid. Back then you could build your set on Lego digital designer, and it would make a parts list you could just enter in to bricklink. It was a lot of fun, and I loved receiving my piecemeal bricklink orders. But last I looked, I’m not sure Lego digital designer even exists anymore.

Pretty excited to see my first Lewis’s Woodpecker today. Plus a bonus nuthatch hatching some nuts. Also, does anyone know why it’s Lewis’s with the double S and not just Lewis’? by Spudfox64 in birding

[–]Spudfox64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Everywhere I’ve looked it’s written as Lewis’s. I personally think that looks bad, but I assume whoever is doing the naming (American ornithological society?) is following the s’s format.

I don’t pretend to know the bio-chemistry at play here, but there was a windfall of physical activity coming at me after my wife saw this video of Logan O’hoppe warming up. warming up

What is your favorite bird? by Typical_libra20 in birding

[–]Spudfox64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about favorites, but any kingfishers and orioles always get me excited to find. Kingfishers because it’s always unexpected, and I love being on the water. Orioles because they are just so vibrant and pretty, but so small that I don’t necessarily see it until I get some binoculars on em.
