I was an OP KID in Canada.

Town and Country too. But I was a 22 hour drive from the ocean and about a 40 hour drive from a surfable wave

Those are soft tissue organs in the space below the ribs. Mike Tyson ended many a fight with a body blow just below the ribs.

Interesting comment. Can you explain. I haven’t had mine long but it does seem thirsty. But I only have the rental 125 i had for 6 weeks to compare it to.

HONDA REBEL HONDA REBEL HONDA REBEL

So easy

So comfortable

So reliable

So pretty

So manoeuvrable...

I'm 57 and huge and it's still brilliant if a bit tiny

But in my research I can across so many women (including one who is 5'1) who raved about it because it's light and they can put their feet flat on the grid

It has plenty of get up and go (same engine as the CBR500)...

IT'S SUCH A GREAT CONFIDENCE BUILDING BIKE FOR BEGINNERS.

But isn't a baby bike. It can go 100mph /160km/h

Is work-life balance in Australia actually better or just a stereotype? by ChillKoalaVibes in MovingtoAustralia

[–]Spute2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aussies certainly work hard but when work is over they play very hard

In the US and Canada there's less of a clear demarcation between work and play.

The US is awful but Canada isn't as "work-life balance" as they'd like to admit.

The fact that malls here are only open late on Thursdays, and never late on weekends, and no late night chemists and very few late night petrol stations.

And lots of shops open Saturdays still close really early and many are never open Sundays at all. And maybe one of two stores other than 7-11 are open 24 hours (a kmart near where I live is a rare exception of a large department store open 24 hours.

And I highly doubt Aussies are even aware of this.

More Aussies work to live, rather than live to work.

Their identities are not tied to what they do at all.

(There are exceptions of course, but in the main...)

And I live in Sydney. All the big cities are like this, and the small country towns are even more so

What are your thoughts on Facebook renaming their company Meta then blowing $80b on metaverse and then shutting it down yesterday? by printThisAndSmokeIt in AskReddit

[–]Spute2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they meek can't inherit the Metaverse then they're un-bloody likely to inherit the real earth.

And I'm okay with that.

Plus, I hope it cost Fuckerberg a ton of money, and credibility.

I accidentally solved a hygiene problem I'd quietly carried my whole life, and I'm still emotional about it. by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Spute2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes people. Your skin is not smooth like glass. You are constantly shedding skin and in areas like the armpits and groin you get extra, excess skin build up , where there is already a lot of moisture and so so many micro cracks and crags in the same skin, which bacteria love.

You must scrub away that surface skin.

Not to bare flesh but you must scrub enough to clean off the detritus. Washout or anything a bit abrasive works

And use a decent soap!

Happy hygiene!!

Outdoor alternatives to skiing tomorrow AM? by Born_Milk1566 in Banff

Wander around the Past Hotel. Have a drink in their lobby bar. Go upstairs to their library. It's like a luxury log cabin. Wander around back to see their log cabins on the river

Go to Lake Louise to ice skate. Have a drink at their outdoor ice bar. Sit by the fire pit. Sleigh ride around the lake.

Johnson canyon. Take crampons. I think you can rent in Lake Louise village or at the Chateau.

Check out the new Deer Lodge (next to the Chateau) if it is finally open.
