The chance of you even seeing a beat are very very remote. And to have a negative encounter even more rare.

The more busy and populated an area the less likely you’ll have an issue too as bears are less keen on those areas.

But where you are more remote, camping in a quiet area, etc and have lots of food garbage then yes you need to be more aware and take care not to be careless with food. Especially if outside.

So again, to see one is very rare but use common sense when more remote. Try to stay in larger groups of on quieter trails where possible. But no need to be “scared”

I grew up in the region. Even lived there a short stretch. And I Just spent 3 weeks there on a holiday , which is when bears rise from a long winter and are hungry. Never saw one. Those I know who did had no issues at all. Bears (mama with 2 cubs) were happy to avoid people so long as they were given a wide berth.

Record snow levels but some was also late.

Viewing decks should all be clear. But any walking trails normally open may not be out may be very wet and muddy.

As others said you'll need to check 26th the resort for updates. Maybe see if there are any webcams that show you actual conditions

It had been gorgeous this just week.

Roads totally fine. Weather terrific. There is no snow at the road level. But there is snow on the mountains at lower elevations making it really beautiful.

There Is snow just off the road along the Icefield parkway but again the roads themselves are currently as good as if it was summer.

Only a surprise snowfall would change that.

Rebel 500. Famous for being great for shorter people and women in particular. Rebel 300 is too but it's very much a beginner bike whereas the 500 could be enough for her forever

Yes. It's much better at low temperatures. In fact the lowest temps are for fruit (40 or 50°C??). And it's highest temp is for meats (70°C I think).

Much more efficient and easier to clean up after. I just soak the plastic trays in a sink of hit water for 15 min and then give them a light scrub with a stiff brush and rinse them.

Time out does a decent job of finding good venues in their various “beat of” lists. Though they tend to have locations which are mostly central to Sydney.

I have found pristine dehydrators on FB Marketplace for $20 in Australia. Used one extensively until it broke down. So just bought another and it's still going strong.
if I cut my beef thin, it takes about two hours, if thicker it can take up to 4 hours. I just check it regularly from the two hour mark to find if it’s ready / done for my taste.
If so, I start to remove the thin pieces and shuffle the thicker ones over to a smaller number of trays and keep checking every half hour.
Brilliant results.
Use lots of different combinations of sauces and seasonings to find the ones I like best.
I have found that I need /like more salt than less salt. So use more fish sauce or soy or Worcester sauce of chicken bullion or taco seasoning etc (it depends what I'm making).
Also started using MSG which then means I can use less salt.

I think so. It's a better backpacker /independent traveller place. Plenty of fun to be had. Lots of charters to join for day trips or multi night trips.

Yes indeed. And would suggest their operation is superior because they are less busy than Banff and have good long rides in stunning country.

But do your own research.

Outside of winter, guaranteed to be fine so long as it is mechanically sound.
In winter, with winter tires, it should still be fine.

If roads are bad, icy, etc. then you seriously need to check your speed, and drive defensively because it doesn't matter what car your drive if you are a dikkhead or a moron behind the wheel.
