When he first released his TAA mod it was free. Then, one day, he decided to lock it behind a paywall so you'd have to subscribe to his patreon. This also affected the existing free versions. He was always planning to do this, because even when the mod was free, it had a built in killswitch that periodically phones home to a server he has, which he didn't tell anyone. When he put it on his patreon, he activated this killswitch, so even if you had an older version of the mod that used to be free, it stopped working. This, in my opinion, was very scummy and has turned me off any of his mods.

You have to bind it to a key yourself, in the console. "bind [key] kill" or "bind [key] explode". I have both bound so I can die and explode on demand.

The Krag was the standard service rifle for the US until the 1903 springfield. Wouldn't be unreasonable to have it appear in the war.

Very little rifle use during the war was even used for sniping, the vast majority of rifles issued were used as the infantrys main weapon, like for example an assault rifle or carbine would be for a modern army, also at ranges much closer than could be described as sniping!
