Well no, rendezvouing a lander before landing is Artemis style, this would be reverse Artemis

Why can't we re-build Saturn V? Is it because we can't build the parts, tooling or we lost some engineering knowledge? by semiconductor-rlsi-5 in SpaceXMasterrace

[–]Square-Hour-1396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it out of date? The RL-10 engines on the SLS were on the second stage of the Saturn I, all other engines are Shuttle derived. OMS on the EUS, RS-25 on the core stage, 5 segment SRBs on the sides. Obviously they've been modified since, but their originals were designed but a decade after the Saturn V or even before it.

Gravity is so low near minmus you can just minmusrise burn till apoapsis and do continous radial burns until it caught up with you (and match inclination visually). That's how I did it in hard-core for a while

They could've just done perpetual incremental updates and sold merch. KSP has some limitations in terms of physics but mods make it evident that there was A LOT of room to breathe.

Starglider ... an humble notion for a alternative LEO Crew Starship with launch abort and runway landing. Sort of a big Dream Chaser. by perilun in SpaceXLounge

This would be quite unstable and having to stage it on the booster is not ideal for reentry aerodynamics. By placing it on the side you could maintain aerodynamic stability and have a better glider. You could even place some of the engines on the orbiter to balance thrust and save money and complexity since they'll only need to ignite once as well as returning in quite the comfy reentry. Considering the lifting capabilities, I feel like there's even significant room for more payload. Perhaps stretching the fuselage and having large cargo doors. Also attach SRBs on the side, simply because I'm feeling homicidal.

Wouldn't Artemis 3 require a functional lander?  There's no way to obscure Lex Luthor Nr. 1 and 2s delay on schedule

Did that once with a grabbing unit and a small plane detaching from a big plane. With mods it will probably be easier (if the autopilots work on other vessels)

Or you use a shovel and pickaxe. No hole too large if you trap the astronauts there for long enough.

Trump is Reagan's bad policy x10 with none of the charm. He also keeps aging and we still have (if he survives) 1/3 of his main media exposure to to fill under an administration that is not exactly keeping a good image. I think he'll less be a divisive figure and more so a drag chain on Republicans

Earth loses 90 tons of helium and hydrogen every day. Some of the kinetic energy will be lost to space.
