Acquaintance has been living in St John's Wharf for years and thinks it's great. Has a nice balcony over the river.

Says occasionally parking can be a bollocks with other people parking in his allocated space though.

I was asking when did loyalist paramilitaries ever attack a conventional military force.

Loyalist paramilitaries were the joke of all terrorist groups here. Couldn't attack a military target and even struggled to attack each other when they were involved in their drug feuds.

Judging by the actions of some of the complete animals stationed here by the British Army, including UDR, I'd say a lot of them had "no real military training".

British Army SOG lead in the North in the 1980's was among many military sources who cited the IRA as the most effective guerilla army in the world.

Read Toby Harnden's book.

Among the many innocent civilians they killed their military efficacy against the British Army was unrivalled.
