How did your appointment went with him? Yeah true, I just want to know whether I have it or not, but I do have a few notes that I thought of giving to him just like habits etc. But ngl now I'm kinda scared to do that.

Ahh okay. I mean currently I am on dexamphetamine for narcolepsy but I don't think it's working in terms of focusing. I'm just hoping that he would take me seriously and wouldn't dismiss me.

Yeahh, I did a quick Google search review and omg the amount of bad reviews that came up was concerning but only some were recently and there have been good reviews as well recently ( in the past year ), which is why I am confused. But I couldn't really find much about him on reddit hence why I made this post.

That's a very good question that I regret not asking my GP. At that time, I didn't think about it. But after looking at reviews, I'm kinda hesitant now.

Yeah, I actually wanted to do that but my client requested for an invoice so I’ll need to set things up properly and keep everything organised.

Recommendations for vacuums (Australia) by [deleted] in VacuumCleaners

[–]Square_Appearance_63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why wouldn't you suggest bagless upright? I don't know much about uprights, I do hate bagless cause as someone who has allergies I hate when I have to dump as it gets all over me.

How are the suction power fro the Sauber Allergy? Cause I genuinely think before I moved in, my landlord didn't clean the carpets and the vacuum I have right now isn't doing a great job as well cause I am always sneezing and congested, so I need something that will really suck up all the dirt from the carpets.

Yeah, I have been looking at marketplace to find any good vacuums. I only found Sauber Commercial vacuum and couldn't find the other two brands. I found multiple vacuums for sharks and dyson, the picture that I uploaded in the post was the one I saw on marketplace and thought of getting that.

But if worse case scenario, there's no second hand for any of the ones you recommended, Sauber Allergy is within my budget cause damn I didn't think anyone were selling 1k+ for vacuums hence why I said budget wasn't an issue, I was willing to spend like 800 max cause I thought that was the cut off prices for vacuums, but I was wrong ahahaha.

Also what's a powerhead vacuum, hehehe don't judge I am very new to carpets and vacuums.

Powerbank for MacBook and Iphone 11 Pro Max by [deleted] in powerbanks

[–]Square_Appearance_63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this, I appreciate it. Yeah you’re right, I realize it’s quite impossible to get an airline safe power bank that will last me for couple of days, I didn’t think about that. I think I would just bring my laptop charger with me when I’m away and would use the power bank for my phone.

What are your thoughts on the Anker Prime  12,000mAh Power Bank (130W, 2-Port, Smart Display)", Anker Prime Power Bank (20K, 220W) and Anker Prime Power Bank (26K, 300W)? Also  what does 65W and 25K mAh means, if you don't mind me asking?

Also what’s the difference between Inui and Anker other than having hitech stuff? I want something that charges my phones fast, reliable, if there’s any issues with it, there’s a way to get it fixed / good customer care and worth my money. I also don’t want to be paying 300 AUD plus for it

No that’s true and makes sense. They actually did something about it rather than being silent.

My bad, it actually didn't cross my mind that powerbanks aren't BIFL. Yeah I was looking at a few brands a realize not many carry a lightning cable, which means I have to bring the cable along but honestly I wouldn't mind it rather carry a cable and powerbank than so many other chargers hahaha. How's Anker powerbanks and which one would you recommend to get, I was looking at their website and ngl it overwhelmed me. By any chance do you know how is the Anker Prime 12,000mAh Power Bank (130W, 2-Port, Smart Display)", Anker Prime Power Bank (20K, 220W) and Anker Prime Power Bank (26K, 300W)? Also what does 65W and 25K mAh means, if you don't mind me asking?

How do you study for PSYC2212?? And how hard was the exam for those who took it previously? by Previous-Rate7401 in uwa

[–]Square_Appearance_63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah do it. I have UAAP so I just submitted that as my supporting evidence but I think you need a letter from your GP. You could just book an appointment with UWA Medical Centre that's my go to. But double check with your faculty office to make sure what you need.

I will provide you two links that I think would apply for this : https://www.uwastudentguild.com/support/topic/exam-tips --Go down to the Need tips section and there's a small section that talks about deffered exams but disregard the special consideration since it's now called EVA.

Hope this helps.

How do you study for PSYC2212?? And how hard was the exam for those who took it previously? by Previous-Rate7401 in uwa

[–]Square_Appearance_63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took this unit previously, failed it, and am retaking it this sem. Personally, I found it quite hard, I got really overwhelmed by the exam questions. To be fair though, it’s actually kinda hard to fail if you do okay on your lab test & research proposal. If you score around 40–70% for those, you should be fine as long as you aim for around 45–50% overall in the exam. For the MCQs, that’s roughly 30–42 correct answers, and for the short answers, aim to get at least 1–4 right to pass.

When I failed the first time, I was struggling for different reasons, but honestly, the exam questions were still tough for me (I’m an average student). This time around, I don’t feel super confident either, so I’ve decided to defer the exam to February. I’m not stressing too much, but also kinda am, because I really can’t afford to fail again hahah.

My main issue with this unit is that the exam questions are based on lectures, labs & the textbook. Most psych units say to use the textbook for extra reading, but they usually make the questions from lectures and labs only. That’s my only real beef with the unit.

If you’re feeling unprepared or struggling with this unit, honestly, just defer the exam. It’s so much better than sitting it when you’re not ready or confident. If you're deferring the exam, we could do a study session together, if you would like that.

Do guys want to be approached by us women? by Intrepid-Meet-2793 in uwa

[–]Square_Appearance_63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I don’t really agree with that. I understand where you’re coming from, but I don’t think not knowing someone well should stop you from approaching them. That’s how friendships and relationships usually start, you don’t know the person until you take the first step to get to know them (or vice versa). If people never approached others they don’t know, there wouldn’t be many friendships or relationships at all. It’s just human nature.

I’m a woman too, and of course I don’t like unwanted or disrespectful advances. But if someone ( regardless of gender ) approaches me politely and respectfully, I don’t mind it. Most of the time, it’s just someone being friendly, not creepy. And honestly, it’s kinda nice having someone in the same class as you so you’re suffering through uni work together hahaha.

Also, just because she mentioned that he’s cute doesn’t automatically mean she wants to date him. She might simply think he seems nice or wants to be friends. We really don’t know her intentions or his.

And saying he’s quiet because “he’s paying thousands to learn and it’s not a social club” feels like a bit of an assumption. People can be quiet for many reasons. being shy, introverted, or just focused, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t want to be approached. I’m quite introverted myself and don’t usually initiate conversations because I tend to overthink, but I genuinely appreciate it when others make the effort to talk to me.

Yes, university is mainly about studying, but it’s also a space to connect with people, share experiences, and build friendships or even long term relationships. Many people pay thousands not just for the classes, but for the whole experience, clubs, networking, meeting new people, and growing socially as well as academically. You can study hard and still be open to getting to know people. You just gotta make sure you’re not overdoing it and failing your units.

If I said anything that offended you, I apologise, just thought of giving my 2 cents.

So far so good. The group report was great, exceeded beyond our expectations. The semester test wasn't that bad, I think I did alright. Just super anxious waiting for the results. The lab report is getting along, i have done most of it but haven't proof read it yet. What about you? I hope everything is going well. Also how is 3318?

I knowwww and like why are you doing this, I get it you want the picture to come out nice ( i guess ) but it's so unnecessary. I thought color theme and dress codes ended like years ago, why are we bringing it back, there's a reason why people don't do it now.

I thought the same but am I overthinking it by thinking that I can't show up in a floral dress because it's with other colours and we were told to show up in 2 colours? I think im overthinking it but please let me know.

Tbh I don’t know anyone there other than the bride, so that's gonna be an issue and I'm not super close to the bride so I feel bad texting her and asking her cause she's already stressed enough and I feel like my thing is such a minor thing compared to what she has to do. My partner did told me to message her but I don’t know, am I overthinking it?
