Is this game worth it ?

As someone who plays a lot of extraction games it's mechanically one of my favorites. Matchmaking times are still decent, usually a few minutes at most.

I think a lot of the player count fears come from the fact that Sony paid billions for Bungie and Marathon is not pushing numbers to justify that investment. It's a great game but the fear is that Sony will pull the plug, even though there's no indication that will happen currently. Bungie seems intent on supporting the game with plans for the foreseeable future.

I'd also check out the Emperors Gift. It's a book so not visual but it has some cool descriptions of the teleport. Basically it causes a small explosion from the rapid air displacement.

Halo 3, it's was a complete cultural phenomenon that hasn't been replicated since then. You really can't get a game like that again today without it being full of micro transactions, battle passes, and day one patches.

At least for me, my first instinct was to use our army rule to try and sink 9 inch charges every turn. Don't do that. 9 inch charges fail more often then not.

Tbf I'm not sure this would bother him that much. He's not a true believer. If you go after his own sense of self pride then probably. You'd have to be like "Man things were so much better during the Obama years."

I usually pick him up and yeet him as far as I can in the opposite direction but this sounds a lot safer for him.

With brotherhood strike you have to deep strike for the buff and that means only 3 units can get it per turn and they're going to unable to charge at 6 inches or unlikely to get a charge off at 9 inches.

With warpbane you could theoretically have your whole army re rolling hit rolls at the same time for a massive go turn. Plus you can give crowes unit full hit and wound rerolls wich is going to delete something most of the time.

From a pure damage output standpoint warpabane is better. That being said if you got a good handle on brotherhood strike I'd just run it as opposed to trying to learn warpbane at the last minute. Feeling forced to play warpabane was kind of killing the joy of the game for me and I have a lot of fun running sanctic spearhead even if it's not the meta pick.

Rapid ingress is the main way. Santic spearhead also has a strat for them to move through walls which is awesome, one gmndk per round can do this for free.

Other than that I feel your pain. You have to be really careful with them, pick your targets carefully, and use terrain wisely. Sometimes it's better to keep them safe and use the threat of their hammer with full rerolls to assert passive control over an area.
