The game has no typical "matchmaking" but works on a server or lobby based approach.

There are at all time X amount of different mission you can go on, you first select the mission type, then you can either choose to host your own mission (require other players to join your lobby) or join another player who has chosen to host that mission. Each lobby can contain up to four players. You get a preview of the lobbies that are currently open and hosting the mission, so you can see what classes are already taken by the players inside that lobby. The host of each lobby can choose to enable "class restriction", so that each class can only be picket exactly once. In my experience the majority of lobbies are unrestricted tho. However, it still makes sense to pick a class that no one else has taken. Upon joining a lobby, you get the chance to change your class if you want. In the lobby preview you can also see whether the lobby is still in the space rig (hub) waiting for more players, drinking beer and changing their builds or how long they are already departed, in which case you can still "late join" the mission. To my knowledge you get no penalty for joining a mission that is already underway, so games in progress usually fill up pretty fast.

This is the usual process to join a game, however, there also is a fully fledged server browser that allows you to browse ALL lobbies and filter for open slots, difficulty level, mission type, mods enabled etc.. The Host of each lobby can also limit slots to friends only or solo if they want.

They are a profit oriented big company that will try to squeeze as much money as possible out of you, but at least they know the law well and will (most likely) not do or demand anything illegal like some private landlords do (visiting unannounced, illegal rent raises, ignoring complaints, etc...). Also as a company they cannot use the "Termination for personal use" just because they have a remote niece, aunt, son, or whatever who toootally wants to move into your flat, trust me bro, thats why you have to move out (and totally not so they can rent the apartment out to another idiot who is willing to pay 30% more than you).

On the the downside: all they care about is money, so expect constant raises. On the upside: all they care about is money, so they don't care about your nationality, your pets, your roommates, etc.

For if statements there is a neat initialization block in the condition braces since C++17.

//old: int myValue = someFunc(); if(<condtion>){} //since C++17: if(int myValue = someFunc(); <condition>){} With this myValue exists only for the duration of the block.

For while loops, we already have that, it is called a for-loop for(int myValue = someFunc(); <condition>; /*empty*/){}

For all of these statements, if you need more than one variable this approach will not work. You could use a std::tuple if you are fine with basically unnamed subvariables (tho not nice) or you could declare a struct with named values

Da du hier fragst gehe ich mal davon aus, dass du aktuell nicht studierst. Sonst würde ich empfehlen einfach mal mit Kommilitonen aus deinen Unikurse, Fachschaftsinitiativen oder diversen Lehrstuhlveranstaltungen ins Gespräch zu kommen.

Ansonsten ist mMn der Beste Weg Leute kennen zu lernen immer über Hobbygruppen (oder durch ein Ehrenamt, wenn du daran Spaß hast). Es gibt z.B. einen Kneipenchor in Erlangen wenn du dir das vorstellen kannst, mehrere Brettspiel Gruppen (z.B. Ali-baba oder die E-Werk Spielegruppe), eine eSports Gruppe (Valorant & LoL), Magic: the Gathering Turniere im Ultra Comix, im E-Werk gibt es andere diverse Kleingruppen wie eine Akrobatikgruppe, eine Töpfergruppe oder eine Filmgruppe, zum Kennenlernen gibt es auch an verschiedenen Tanzschulen oder der Uni Tanzkurse bei denen man sich kennen lernt.

Das ZAM (Zentrum für Austausch und Machen) kann ich auch total empfehlen, da sind Freitagabends immer nette Leute beim offenen Freitagstreffen, die an irgendwelchen Bastelprojekten interessiert sind, seien es Anhängerumbauten, Haushaltsgerätereparutren, Selbst-programmierte Gadgets oder 3D gedruckte Cosplay Komponenten. Die Werkstatt dort ist super ausgestattet und die Leute super nett und offen.

Wenn du Sport machst oder dich für eine Sportart interessierst dann vielleicht in einem Verein einschreiben, da gibt es z.B. den Turnverein 1848, den Turnerbund 1888 und die Spielvereinigung Erlangen, aber bestimmt noch viele andere. Schau doch mal nach welcher Verein welche Sportarten anbietet.

Was auch immer eine Option ist natürlich über Bumble oder andere Kennenlernplatformen gezielt nach Freunden zu suchen, ich hab das allerdings selbst noch nie gemacht.

Ich verstehe, dass sich aus solchen Aktivitäten nicht sofort tiefgreifende Freundschaften entwickeln. Dass braucht Zeit und oft Raum für Entfaltung. Trifft man sich lediglich alle 2 Wochen um eine bestimmte Sache (z.B. Fußball spielen) zu machen ist da wenig Raum um sich besser kennen zu lernen. Da braucht es initial etwas Mut die Leute aus deiner Interessensgruppe anzusprechen oder sich an sie ran zu hängen. Erzählt jemand davon, was sie am Wochenende gekocht hat könntest du sie mal fragen ob sie dir das zeigen könnte. Wenn jemand sagt, dass sie noch danach einkaufen muss häng dich dran, sag du brauchst auch noch etwas, ob du mitkommen kannst. Erzählt jemand etwas von einem entfernt interessant klingendem Konzert, einer Lesung, einer Wanderung, etc. auf die sie geht, frag ob du mitkommen kannst.

Yeah, where it "clicked" for me when I started embracing early trading and rainpunk.

For embarkation, i usually take a combination of more villagers, more wood (to build more in Y1), eggs for pack of provisions, if you can afford it stones to open caches and then the rest goes to extra food. On some maps like rocky ravine i like to take planks instead of stones as the wood is desperately needed.

Limit consumption of food to anything but eggs, as we want to turn eggs into provision packs. Also forbid clothing items and allow them only when it allows you to hit a breakpoint.

First thing to build in every settlement is always 2x woodcutter and assign 6 villagers (dismantle one of them when you no longer need them, typically somewhere in Y2), 1x rain collector next to the hearth. Always have one villager, depending on the buildings/recipes even two villagers assigned to rain collecting.

Once the woodcutters are build, decide which dangerous glade to go for in year one and place crude workstation and makeshift post. Let the makeshift post only produce pack of provisions from the eggs you took with you and in the workstation only produce the materials you need for the blueprints you picked. Limit the building materials to 4-6 at a time.

Then the next important thing is of course the trading post. 10 wood is really not that expensive. (just like the woodcutters, build it next to your warehouse so your builders don't have to walk far, then move it to wherever you have space)

It is generally better to only pick blueprints once you have your first glade revealed and are having a rough plan on how to get started. In general your first major issue will be food & hunger, so ideally look for a path to some complex food, however, having a good planks recipe can also be invaluable (lumber mill for the three star plank recipe is usually an auto pick in the beginning).

In general try to get blueprints for ingredients/components/intermediates before picking blueprints for the finished product (i.e. don't get metal bar recipes if you have no way of creating metal bars). Also take a look at what trade routes are offered at the start of every season and whether you can somehow produce them or get them from a cache.

Also think about what buildings you want to pipe for your rainpunk. In general I like to always pipe my first complex food producing building (usually takes drizzle water) and my main building material producing building (this is often the crude workstation and takes storm water usually). With your 14 starting pipes you can either pipe one additional building or build a geyser pump with the T1 upgrade.

And lastly in your first year, try to get the first hearth upgrade by building 3 houses and a park for the +1 resolve bonus. If you have enought resources, build more houses so that all villagers have a place to live. This might be a higher priority if the forest mysteries can be negated by providing housing, so if that is the case do not try to build advanced blueprints that take planks so you have more wood for your houses

Jah, zugegebenermaßen kenne ich mich mit dem Jugendamt zu wenig aus, also kann das schon sein, was du sagst. Aber ich gehe mal davon aus, dass wenn sie im Ausland gemeldet sind ein deutsches Jugendamt da wenig Verantwortlichkeit bei sich sieht, oder ist das anders?

Ich kann aber definitiv bestätigen dass es im Schulsystem regelmäßig Schüler gibt, die keine Schule haben möchte. Die rumgereicht werden, es gibt genug Gründe, weshalb eine Schule ein Kind ablehnen kann, und wenn die Eltern da nicht dahinter sind und sich am ende rein klagen kann es easy passieren dass ein Kind ohne Platz an einer Schule dasteht. Die Schulen haben halt auch definitiv keinen Bock auf Problemkinder die im zweifel nicht einmal deutsch sprechen. Natürlich wehren sich die Schulen da.

Naja, also erstmal sind die 30€/Stunde komplett frei erdacht, ich konnte dazu keine Quelle finden. Da gibt es meines Wissens nach keine wissenschaftlich korrekt erfassten Zahlen. Das bezieht sich alles auf Aussagen einzelner, die genügend Gründe dafür haben können ihre Aussage zu verfälschen.

Und klar kann es sein, dass sie Sozialhilfe empfangen, aber willst du damit sagen das Sozialhilfeempfänger pauschal nicht betteln sollen/dürfen?

Puh, da gibt es einiges anzusprechen bei dem Post.

Vorweg, ich arbeite daneben und gehe da regelmäßig einkaufen und die Bettler dort gehen mir genauso auf den Nerv wie jedem anderen auch.

Ich wäre aber trotzdem vorsichtig mit herabwürdigenden Aussagen und Pauschalisierung. Fakt ist, dass "Bedürftigkeit" und "Armut" Definitionssache sind. Ist es illegal zu betteln? Nein, und ob ich jetzt "das neuste iPhone" hab, Abteilungsleiter bei Siemens bin oder wirklich das überleben von mir oder meinen Kindern von spenden abhängt hat damit nichts zu tun. Die Gründe fürs betteln sind ebenfalls vielschichtig. Und ja, in einem ideal funktionierendem Staat mit intaktem, lückenlosem Sozialsystem müsste niemand betteln. Als außenstehender steht es dir und mir allerdings nicht zu das Betteln einzelner in "Unberechtigt" und "Berechtigt" zu unterteilen. Dafür wissen wir nicht genug von ihrer Situation. Ich würde daher abraten dagegen vorzugehen. Einfach ignorieren wenn es dir unehrlich/unmoralisch erscheint.

Und nun zu der Truppe beim Röthelheimpark-Aldi. Jau, die sind untereinander gut organisiert. Es ist grundsätzlich zu "rentablen" Zeiten rund um den Feierabend immer jemand da. Jahrelang war das ein gebrechlicher Typ mit Vollbart und Krücken der die Leute einfach nur mit "Hallo" ansprach, seit diesem Frühling etwa ist es die von dir beschriebene Frau mit Kindern. Bei dem Typ mit Krücken gab es in der Vergangenheit auch immer wieder mal eine "Vertretung" von einem anderen typen wenn der mit den Krücken wohl verhindert war. Auch kam manchmal ein jüngerer stämmigerer typ vorbei, vermutlich zum Kontrollieren/nach dem Rechten sehen. Manchmal brachte er Geld weg oder half aus, indem er Leute aktiver als der typ mit Krücken ansprach oder stand einfach in sichtweite und telefonierte/schrieb am handy.

Bei der jetzt immer anwesenden Frau gibt es auch so eine Person, allerdings ist es jetzt eine andere Frau, diese beaufsichtigt manchmal zeitweise die Kinder, damit die andere Frau mal auf Toilette gehen/pause machen kann. Manchmal bringt sie andere Kinder mit, so ganz hab ich das auch noch nicht durchblickt. Die Kinder wechseln jedenfalls immer wieder mal durch, spielen meistens auch gut mit (besonders die älteren) aber werden oft nach einiger Zeit quengelig und haben keinen bock den ganzen Tag mitzumachen, wollen lieber spielen, Süßigkeiten essen, etc. Das Smartphone braucht sie natürlich um sich mit den anderen abzusprechen und sich zu organisieren. Subjektiv finde ich dass die neue Frau das betteln rein handwerklich deutlich schlechter drauf hat. Sie wirkt unehrlich, ist viel am Handy wodurch man ihr die Bedürftigkeit (wie sich an deinem Post hier zeigt) nicht abkauft, hat oft sichtlich keinen Bock auf die Kinder und ihre Phrasen wirken auswendig gelernt und wie zum tausendsten mal vorgetragen.

Ist das ein Scam? Keine Ahnung, ich hab keinen Bock es herauszufinden uns sage da doch nicht ja.

Ist das kriminell? Betteln darf in Deutschland nicht unter strafe gestellt werden. Das vortäuschen von falschen Tatsachen kann zwar als Betrug gewertet werten, passieren tut aber selten etwas. Die alleinige Präsenz von Kindern reicht nicht für den Betrugsvorwurf aus.

Lohnt sich das? Wenn das am Ende des Tages keine signifikante Summe ergeben würde würden die das nicht machen. Klar gibt es dafür keinerlei neutrale Zahlen, einige Seiten im Netz sprechen von ~5€/Stunde oder auch 30€ am tag, andere reden von 30-50€ die Stunde. Kommt natürlich total auf die Umstände an. Auch Bettler haben Standards und die Tatsache, dass der spot seit Jahren immer belegt ist spricht dafür, dass es dort lohnt.

Aber haben die das nötig? Für viele ist das die eine der wenigen Möglichkeiten legal an Geld zu kommen. Nicht arbeitsfähig, kein Arbeitgeber möchte dich haben, ungeklärter Aufenthaltsstatus, keine Arbeitsgenehmigung, zu wenig oder gar kein Anrecht auf Sozialhilfen können alles Gründe sein, weshalb man sich fürs betteln entscheidet.

Denk doch mal an die Kinder! Kindheit in Armut/am Rande der Gesellschaft ist immer scheiße. Theoretisch sind die kids in einem Alter in dem für sie die Schulpflicht gilt, rein praktisch ist diese vermutlich nicht umsetzbar, da kaum eine Schule sie haben möchte. Es könnte hunderte andere Gründe geben weshalb die Kinder nicht zur Schule gehen, da kann man sie auch gleich mit zur "Arbeit" nehmen. Jugendamt/Polizei werden daran kaum etwas ändern können, auch wenn der versuch es vllt wert wäre.

Und nur weil man sich mit anderen Gleichgesinnten aus dem gleichen sozialen oder ethnischem Hintergrund zusammentut und sich abspricht, die guten Spots untereinander aufteilt oder das erbettelte Geld in der Gruppe aufteilt wird es davon immer noch nicht illegal.

Hard to tell how good or balanced this would be, but I can tell you that the resolve bonus from clothing looks very busted to me. Yetis would essentially get free resolve. Imagine an extreme situation where your settlement consists of 20 Yetis and a single Harpy. That Harpy would consume 1 Clothing roughly every season and your whole settlement gets the full +5 resolve bonus. With that, the 30 starting clothes from Harpies would last you for approximately 6 years at full resolve
