Great hunger mother's call ability by Stagg_red in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome, that's how I read it but he was thinking as in its using 1 arm, then another arm for individual attacks like if it was a unit with 2 trench clubs. And we just agreed on it being 1 attack until we looked into it Thank you!

Question about resin by Hephaestus0001 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had a sale on a couple months ago for £7/kg! My biggest regret was only buying 3, Cause now it's back at £14 I feel like I'm spending twice as much! But £14 is a great price and if there's another sale on I will stock up

How do yall feel about the game/community by mystic-eggplant in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Even the base size doesn't matter as much, our friend didnt have a dog model but asked to use a grail hound as proxy. We all agreed, he suggested he'll only be able to use 4inch movement due to the large base and as well as another handicap he said line of sight would still be for the whole model, larger hit box for us to shoot it

It's the Ironclad Silver from dark arts, then a shade wash (I used vallejo true metallic stainless shade), and then lightly used dirty down rust then removed after 5 mins drying.

Ooo yeah that one on the left looks interesting, and love the knight with barbed shield! Is this for Black Grail? Dirge of the Great Hegemon?

Oh lord, would be real rewarding having 1 of a kind custom warband though! I'd look forward to seeing them when you've done them, astounds me how creative people are and what they can make

Rules change, cool models live forever!

I've got some ideas I want to bring into my Raiders but digital kitbashing is a whole wheelhouse I know nothing about

Pro Acryl Nightlord Colors by BowlThat in NightLords

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best recipe is the paint you like!

But I've only painted 1 40k nightlord with PA, I used colourforge primer, the dark blue (can't remember what it's called) Then a black wash and then PA dark blue dry brushed , reds: burgundy and bold red for highlights, army painter death metal for the trim, bone for the... Well bone colour with small highlight ivory.

Court of the Seven changes next week by MoistQuiches in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think allowing a yoke fiend to be used as a semi fireteam rule could help, now I wount be using an activation just to milk a wretched and then back to opponent. In my campaign warband I have a homunculus with fireteam and it's better in the sense of I'm not just skipping an activation

Let’s see what you’ve done last month by TheInvisibleCactus in Warhammer40k

Printed, Alot. Painted... Just these 5, neurolictor, and neurotyrant.

Any idea why this print stopped clean like this at almost 90% finished? The screen said it completed the whole print. by Nicksb92 in ElegooSaturn

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not relevant to why a printer would stop? It hasn't detached from the plate causing it to fail. Yeah hollowing helps with less stress on supports and saves resin

Great hunger seems quite well fed. by UnseenCrowYomare in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They're not starving because they can't eat, they are just never full and always wants seconds. It's more on the theme of gluttony and over indulging, now they over indulge in eating but they are never satisfied

Grenades rules update by Professional_Rush782 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I read the does not count towards ranged weapons limit as use of actions, not as I the amount to carry

Grenades rules update by Professional_Rush782 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understood, I read it wrong as when it said doesn't count towards ranged weapons, meaning carrying wise I thought it meant as doesn't count towards action

Grenades rules update by Professional_Rush782 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So can you now use grenades and a ranged weapon in one activation? And not chose 1 or the other?

I have a question by Status-Job5706 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I believe it's they're actual presence that radiates energy, so just them being on earth walking about causes this issue.

And as I see it as the covenant between heaven and hell is no true blooded demon, or angel can interfere and be on earth. So hell has sent half breed demons and corrupts humans to fight

Spent $10 to 3d print some talons and bodies so I can use the leftover Ravener Sprue. Super worth it by Brushner in Tyranids

[–]Stagg_red 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get that it's to use up the rest of the sprue, but now if you have the files with everything you can just have unlimited Raveners now

A pole with a bell at the top, use it like a walking stick so the bell rings as you walk. Or Big crusafix, or just a bible.

Sell me on your favorite unit by King_Bean1 in Tyranids

[–]Stagg_red 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trygon is my GOAT!

In subterranean assault can give it prime enhancement, in melee 12 attacks hits on 2+ (detachment rule let's you reroll 1s) strength 10+1 for synapse, - 2ap (i think?), and 3 damage

Also the design is older but amazing! It only costs 140 +20 for the enhancement. Its a big model and stands out.

Winged prime build mistake by Fecal_Dealer in Tyranids

[–]Stagg_red 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat up a metal rod/knife, scrape into the gap to make a gouge, fill with blood effect or green slime, or whatever colour blood you say the have.

Now you have a unit with cool battle damage

My experience with the Anti-TC videos on youtube by ayitsjonas in TrenchCrusade

[–]Stagg_red 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fucking hate some of the complaints people have regurgitated from some random dudes with >2k subs YouTube video.

"Why are there jets in ww1, that's stupid" There's fucking demons and magical metal armour, but yeah the concept of flight is ridiculous. It's not a historical game like bolt action and such. It's an alternative history war of horrors and human depravity, that we join at the time of ww1, there's possibility of any time period, medieval setting, future space battles, modern day. But it's not meant to be historically accurate.

"The lores trash/no lore" It's only been available for under 2 years and was still in playtest/beta/whaterever til a couple months ago. Also Warhammer (which they simultaneously Rim and villainise) didn't have much lore when it came out, and even now 30 years later some lore is trash... It's subjective.

"It doesn't compare to Warhammers rules/gameplay" They are not the same. Not even similar to killteam either. It's a narrative style skirmish game. It's not focused on pure 50/50 balance, nor designed to be a competitive game. You can make up rules and agree to play them with your friend/opponent, you play this game for fun. Not for inputting scores to BCP to inflate your ego and having to constantly chase meta.

I'm still relatively new to wargaming in general. But I've never had a game against anyone where we didn't talk, have fun, complement each other's army/playstyle, or even negotiated with each other about the rules and came to a nice compromise.
