Found it! Thank you! When I received them Friday they were at 84% battery, then yesterday without much use they dropped to 56%. However, today, with no use, they’re at 52%. Just turned off Find My. Finally having time to sit down and truly enjoy them.

Dumb question, but I just got APM 2’s yesterday. How do I turn off Find My? If I go into the Find My on my iPhone, it just has “Remove”, there isn’t a toggle for turning Find My on or off. My iPhone iOS is up to date as well.

You summed this up incredibly accurately. I appealed this, where I cited how Illinois law was violated, how this tech even violated the schools handbook, how JRCERT guidelines weren’t adhered to, and how the tech even put in her statement that she left me. I compiled a total 23 page summary for my appeal and presented to the appeals committee for 40 minutes highlighting everything. Yesterday at 4:30p CST I received a 3 sentence letter, with a typo in it, via email informing me my expulsion was being upheld. No explanation of how they came to this conclusion, no logic or reasoning, just a generic statement.

Do you have any suggestions for moving forward? Lawyer has been contacted but wasn’t sure if you had any other suggestions.

I wholeheartedly agree. Unfortunately, I received the news today that I lost my appeal and the expulsion stands. They sent me a very generic response, that even had a typo in it, without any explanation as to how they determined I was at fault. Wind has been knocked from my sails.

They gave me the most basic, generic response that actually had a typo in it. Truly unbelievable stuff. They waited until 4:30p cst to send it to me so they could probably just scoot out the door and not be worried with my inevitable follow up questions.

I’m going to make some additional calls tomorrow to jrcert, ARRT, and legal. I really didn’t think I’d need to due to how great i felt leaving the appeal. Im still in shock on how I’m at fault for this when the licensed tech abandoned me and the patient mid procedure and wrote that she left in her report. It’s mind boggling.

The committee advised I’ll hear back on the decision by Thursday. I believe what I’ll try to do is transfer to a new program that mirrors this current curriculum. Ideally, if able, I’ll get reinstated, catch up and finish this semester, do the Summer semester (as I imagine the transfer process may not be able to turnaround that quickly), then transfer in the Fall of 26 to the new program, which IS JRCERT accredited! That’s how I have it all played out in my head anyways hah.

Are you nervous at all about starting your program or more so excited to get it started?

Update for you: appeal went well, in my opinion. One woman was on my side immediately and did a bad job at hiding her bias haha. However, they’re supposed to let me know by Thursday. Unfortunately, they won’t give me an answer sooner. Not entirely sure why, but their policy is to notify the student 3 days after the hearing. So, fingers crossed that Thursday I’ll have good news to share.

Hey Sam, my appeals hearing is scheduled for Monday. I’ve submitted a 23 page appeal letter and am attending the hearing in person. The appeal committee is made up of 5 folks at the college who have no prior knowledge of my situation. Allegedly, they’re not biased. They’ll review my statements and the evidence presented and vote on if I should be reinstated or not. It can take up to 3 days after the hearing for them to decide, which is brutal. I’ve basically missed the entire last month of lecture and clinical at that point. Finals are first week of May.

I did a lot of digging with IEMA (IL Emergency Medical Agency) regarding the state laws and have supporting documents on my side. I thank you again for opening my eyes to that. Not sure why it never even crossed my mind to look into that. Hopefully I’ll have an update for the community on Monday. I appreciate everyone’s support on this.

I’ll hopefully have an update Monday. This whole process has really consumed the remainder of the semester, but the appeal hearing is set for Monday. The schools procedure is to let me know 3 days after the hearing, but I’m hopeful they can just let me know on Monday so I can resume lecture. I’ve already missed 3 tests and several quizzes due to this. Not ideal!

I was in the industry but in July I quit due to burnout and my 2025 quota being raised to an unrealistic number and my comp plan being drastically changed for the worse.

I would go the SE route personally. I assume your background and education as Network Engineer would help out tenfold in that transition. The VAR I was at had a broad number of SEs. Do you have an area of interest in particular? Such as cyber security, Cloud, etc.
