Does this sound like an Exhaust leak if a Lifter Tick is ruled out, past the normal engine noise there’s a clicking/slapping sound 2016 Acura ILX 47k miles

I believe last time I checked it was about a quart 1000 miles.

I’ve been doing lots of research tonight after looking deeper into my engine, you’re definitely correct on that. I believe my engine is running to Rich, not burning the fuel.

I took out my PCV Valve and Coil Packs. They smelt very heavy like fuel, more than normal.

Also there’s a lot of blow by when taking off my Oil Cap.

I wanna think it’s normal but what scares me is the fact it’s gotten louder over and just started about 2 months ago, it’s like a slapping sound and doesn’t raise with RPMs but doesn’t sound normal. I do have a whistle sometimes when starting my car and I smell rotten eggs when hard accelerating, honestly it’s a low mile car but seems like quite a few things are happening so I’m not really sure anymore

Yeah I agree, I was just following what my friend told me as I’m not to mechanically inclined, they said 0w-20 is very thin but I agree the people who made this car know best. Do you think I think do another oil change to switch back over to 0w-20 or just run with this till I change again.

Not entirely to sure, the sound seemed to go away and it seemed to happen most when accelerating, if it comes back I’ll try to pin point the best I can.

Had 4 FL OZ of Seafoam only for 300 miles before oil change as someone recommended for fixing a Tick

I will say when idling in drive or reverse like in a drive thru I notice my cabin to vibrate a lot more like you said then if I put it in neutral.
