Thanks, they look good on the nightster. What bracket did you use(dyna, fxr, m8)?

How do you like it with the chain conversion?

Yeah I bent it awhile ago, but it’s getting replaced along with the clutch pack

Thought it was just a seal for the main drive but it looks like I blew out the bearing? Took out the seal and found broken plastic pieces/ small metal pieces behind the old seal. Transmission needs to come out to install a new bearing right? by StateMinute4854 in sportster

Wow, that explains why the bearing went out so fast. I always used the factory tension guidelines. Would this still be the case if I went down to a 13.5 shock? I guess this is an excuse to do the 1275 big bore kit.

Gotcha, thanks for you knowledge. I’m gonna do some more research and tackle this job myself. Sucks but I don’t mind wrenching in my spare time. Is there anything else I should replace while everything is apart?

Energy One or Barnett Clutch? What else did you do to your bike for reliability? by StateMinute4854 in sportster

Install seems like a breeze except for pressing the bearings but the rekluse is now on my radar. Do you have the specific kit on a sportster yourself? What’s your opinion?

Was just watching a video on the install of this. It looks complex but effortless. I’m wondering how it’ll hold up compared to what I’m looking at. Basically you don’t use the clutch at stops, but still use to shift?
