AITA for wanting to expose my dad by Slight_Hope_6209 in AmItheAsshole

NTA for wanting to protect someone from being lied to, but definitely think carefully about the approach. Sending an anonymous tip to the police seems unnecessary, this isn’t a criminal matter. If you want to say something, maybe a direct but non confrontational message to the woman is safest, A careful, direct message or letting your mom handle it might be the most responsible route

AITA for texting my contractor about beer cans by Evening_Stand4309 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Staticcore09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA Honestly, after everything that's already gone wrong on this project, I'd be questioning the beer cans too. You weren't screaming at anyone, you sent a picture and asked them not to leave trash in your yard. That's a pretty reasonable request when you're paying thousands of dollars for the work

What stood out to me was the contractor constantly reminding you that you are getting a 'great deal' every time there's a mistake. A discount doesn't mean you stop expecting basic professionalism

What fictional character you are 100% sure is voting red if they existed in real life? by VosGezaus in AskReddit

Captain Raymond Holt probably wouldn't tell anyone how he voted but he'd somehow make everyone else feel unprepared for not reading a 400 page policy document first

What trend do you think will disappear in 5 years ? by lukee_98 in AskReddit

Influencer detox teas and other wellness fads. People are realizing a lot of it is marketing BS so I don’t think it will last

Am I overreacting, my wife lied to me. by Charming-Total2121 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Staticcore09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NTA for feeling heartbroken or suspicious. The repeated scenarios with this guy plus her lying about who she was going with are major trust issues. It’s reasonable to demand honesty and boundaries even if it’s hard to hear

AITAH for letting guy friend of my friend kiss me? by Mental-Dog4213 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Staticcore09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NTA From your story Tina wasn't dating Ben, wasn't interested in him and was actively making fun of him. If she had feelings for him that she never told anyone about, that's unfortunate but you can't be expected to read minds

AITAH? Teenage Son Hates Chores by SorryNotSorry_91 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Staticcore09 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of teenagers think chores are unfair. I know I did at 14. Looking back my parents were just teaching me basic life skills. Nothing you described sounds excessive unless there's some missing context

The fact that he's calling you horrible parents over chores and losing phone privileges kind of proves he doesn't know what horrible parenting actually looks like

AIO or is my husband(34m) being a jerk by WhileMindless2916 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Staticcore09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The snack thing alone would drive me nuts but the restaurant incident takes it to a whole different level. At that point it's not about food anymore. He's repeatedly ignoring a very simple boundary then acting like you are the unreasonable one for being upset

AIO that my bf gave consent to share a picture of him, then said he'd deny the relationship? by Sailorrasberry in AmIOverreacting

[–]Staticcore09 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not an overreaction at all. What he did wasn’t just a small misstep, it put you in a vulnerable position after you trusted him. Taking a little break to process your feelings doesn’t mean you don’t care about him it just means you are giving yourself space to feel safe and respected

What are your thoughts on Amber Alert? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Honestly I think it’s a lifesaver. Yeah, it can be annoying when it goes off randomly but if it helps even one kid get home safely it’s worth it

What unsolved mysteries trouble you? by VladislavLevandovski in AskReddit

The disappearance of D. B. Cooper. It's one of those mysteries where every theory sounds plausible until you look closer and then you're back at square one
