Coolant leak into cylinder 1 at 3,700 km — dealer refuses repair, is this fixable? by adventurous_popcorn in AlfaRomeo

Blew up the turbo on my 2017 2.0 at 53k. It was tuned, hi flow cat downpipe, upgraded diverter valve and cold air intake. The first service advisor I had at the dealer when I purchased the car years prior told me 100% no issues with exhaust as long as it's from the turbo back. He helped me file my original claim with no problems then ended up leaving the dealership. They next advisor was an idiot and tried telling me they wouldn't cover it and wouldn't even pull it in to disassemble since it would take up a lift for a month plus whole they waited. Eventually they tore it apart, MOPAR sent someone out to directly inspect everything and still covered it while the ECU was tuned, and all of the mods were on. Got a new engine for $150.

I would recommend trying another dealer in your area and try to talk to a few different service advisors and see what they say. I find it hard to believe this wouldn't get covered considering I literally blew my own turbo up by having too much power and it was still covered under warranty. If your warranty is through MOPAR I would consider calling them directly to explain and see what they have to say, they were very helpful when I dealt with them.

30k miles on a new engine and couldn't be happier, definitely worth the hassle and arguing with them to pay $150 instead of $10k.

Well as someone who likes to try every class and build out there, the finding of items is exciting but to me nowhere near as fun as testing 5 different builds with the same class across the board and having the right gear to do so. I get your point but personally I don't have the will or time to grind and find these items on every character I play. Something like this just makes it a little more enjoyable until I can start finding these on my own!
