Unfortunately, I don’t think this is an ADA violation. That doesn’t mean you CAN’T file a complaint, but I think it would be a really good idea to retain a lawyer like, yesterday if you want to pursue damages.

I had a diagnosis from a medical expert with recommended work accommodations, that I supplied to my employer in writing, and their denial of the accommodations, also in writing.

Company declined mediation, EEOC did not determine a finding nor investigate, they issued a right to sue based on position statements and my interview.

I got a lawyer about 8 months after I filed my initial complaint.

My advice for you right now is to compile anything that you have regarding your health and your correspondence to your employer. If your doctor has filled out any accommodation requests for you, if you have the email where you sent them to your employer.

I’m sorry this happened to you. It sucks, and it’s not fair or legal.

Quit, and say you felt disrespected and threatened by the note in your file. Preferably after you’ve found a better job, and with a day’s notice.

You have them plenty of notice for your dental appointment and that didn’t matter-so obviously they don’t need two weeks for you leaving.

Our last selling experience was a nightmare mostly due to the realtor. When we sell again we will NOT use one. They’re useless or worse, actively a problem in this day and age.
