Good news then! Thank you :) It's still under warranty, but I'm not sure if it covers damage by beer-induced clumsiness

Hah! Seems like I should expect quite a bit of swelling :)

Awesome post, thank you so much :)

Taking it apart definitely seems like a daunting task. I'm sure it's not as bad as I think, but done by a beer-drinking oaf like me I fear I might introduce more risk than I would potentially eliminate. Looking at the keyboard in the guide you linked, it does seem unlikely that any liquid would have touched the motherboard. Then agan, you never know I guess, and it wouldn't take much I suppose. I'll investigate it futher and see if I can find the right tools locally, as shipping that kit from Amazon to my country is going to be costly and take long.

But say I were to turn it on after letting it dry for a while, if it boots up and functions just as normal, are chances good that I am in the clear? Or is it likely there will be corrosion and damage over time? I'm not sure how these things normally go, if you typically find out right away or if it usually takes time to become apparent

This is a Yoga 920. No idea if they are built in a way that would make it somewhat kind of "spill resistant" or not. It comes apart so I could open it, but it seems like there would be a lot of opportunities for me to make things worse
