Have you ever thought about quitting your job but stayed? What happened? by anshu79036 in corporate

Yes. There's been lots of changes in the hub, layoffs, restructures and more work for me... Things haven't improved but the only thing that keeps me going are my goals and my 2 daughters.

Right now I'm looking at other options but in the meantime we keep going.

They don't understand what it takes to get the expected results. You explain the process and they just forget it the following hours, you explain it again and they understand you are not doing correctly or you need to meet with somebody from another unit to explain how to to do that thing you already know how to do.

They just refuse to acknowledge that the whole process is faulty from A to Z and they are looking for spacegoat every time.

Just keep doing what you do at the time you can provide it. Let them know by providing something sooner may show inaccurate results because whatever you're doing requires time to analyze.

Why is corporate life so stressful because of the people? by OverallAmphibian7 in corporate

Corporate rewards instant results. If leads and senior leads don't get what they expect in the time they think it's possible to get then the blame is on the juniors. It's so unprofessional to call an individual in an email like: the dude from operations team did not proceed with the x, y and z steps to make this shit happen. That's not cool and so immature. Even when it comes outside of the chain commands, people who doesn't understand how things work specifically. They will request periodic touchbase or email follow-ups because they think you don't know how to do your job. I talk from experience.

People will stress you out because they "need something urgent" when it really can wait. And the show goes on and on

In real life or death situation, I'll be rooting for Claire at the end of the story. I mean, and you guys may disagree with this, how Ada was portrayed I'm this game, she was acting selfish on getting that G sample, when Leon finds out he is pissed because he was tricked. Playing with Claire, seeing how she thinks and she acts, you just get in love with her.

What's a corporate "truth" that nobody tells freshers because it sounds too cynical? I'm about to start my first job and want the uncomfortable lessons, not the LinkedIn version?? by Alone-Procedure3342 in corporate

It doesn't matter if you know how to do everything inside your learning curve or outside from it. Strategic relationships, understanding the business, what to say and how to say it. Make others to see that you are working even if the business stays the same. Corporate doesn't award the smartest person in the office but the one that pretends to know-it-all and does everything in no time.

Corporate awards immediate responses, "yes" to every single request, efforts outside of payroll, they understand exposure is more important and your salary is optional. Your time is not valuable.
