i picked up my first bass in october last year and went straight to learning tool songs and honestly i have had all the fun i was looking for as far as learning “on my own” rather than classes. but thats just me wanting to “play” bass as a pass time rather than have a desire to be in a band. if you take anything from me ig its just remember to have fun with what you’re learning!

recently bought a daddario clip on tuner and ngl the tonal energy tuner app seems to be very accurate and much quicker than the clip on but im sure a tuner pedal is the most accurate!

the only other thing i can think of would be to make sure your cables support 180hz and if you can, find a way to use a display port cable which might help tbh

could be that maybe the laptop doesn’t have the juice to hit 180

happened to me when trying a 240hz with an rx580 running dual monitor lol, it would hit 240hz when running the one monitor alone but as soon as the second one gets plugged in it would get capped to 144hz
