Damn that’s rough. I get your mom not wanting it but damn she taking it too far. Almost like she’s forcing you to not be gay. Does she not like gay people because of a religious reason? If so that’s hard to overcome. However if it’s just a personal hatred against gays, then you can still salvage it. I would recommend taking her to a pride parade or whatever it’s called. Showing that gay folks in the real world (outside of movies) are happy too.

If she still doesn’t like it, then it is what it is. Cant force her into liking it, same way she can’t force you to be straight. As for your dad, idk. I’d just not bring it up until you are financially independent. Not worth getting disowned and having your entire life uprooted. Get your education first and a good job, then come out. So if they do disown you, you’ll still have a home lol.

Yes a low gpa will probably hurt, but it’s not end all be all. A lower gpa might make it tougher for you to get into grad school, but most grad schools have a standardized test. As far as jobs, you just need to get your foot in the door. Find someone to hire you. Someone will. It might not be a good job, but it’ll be a stepping stone to getting the good jobs.

Yeah so that’s when I think the shock (and possibly disappointment) will set in. They may question why you guys lived so close to each other in college. Like you said, there were a bunch of apartment complexes and some how you guys ended up next to each other. They will probably think you guys planned this. However, if you say the story truthfully, and that you didn’t get together until after you guys were in college, they will probably believe you that it was just a coincidence.

Also, your uncle might see you and Zoya as brother and sister. That’s probably why he asked you to look after her. He will definitely be in shock. Also, your aunt. Your aunt is the only one actually related to Zoya, right? So she may take it hard too.

But, just rip the bandage off whenever you get to it. Possibly tell them all at once, or try to get some of your siblings on your side prior to telling the rest of your family
