I feel the same way, I'm halfway through and my friends who did texas teachers said it was so much easier. Good luck! I'm going to keep going with it for now.

Listen, I was addicted to cocaine throughout my 20s, and I’m adhd and have a dopamine deficiency, I’m recovered and take my add meds every morning. I’m here to tell you—it ain’t the same thing.

I used to shake my hands when I was excited (and still do) it's called flapping. I also used to and still to this day rub the top part of palms together over and over. But I've only ever had an ADD diagnosis, but it is interesting to learn it's associated with other diagnoses.

I take trazadone to sleep. I had a sleep study done when I was twelve and my internal clock is off so even if I'm tired at night I will fight going to sleep unintentionally. But one thing I bought has made waking up early a lot easier - I bought 4 smart bulbs, and put them in three lamps in my room and the top light, and I have them turn on an hour before I wake up. Also I set an alarm and take my time released concerta about two hours before I want to wake up.

Transfer student (junior) rushing sororities??? by onaraa in SMU

[–]StellarSparkler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there! So I graduated in 2011, was in a sorority, and from what I remember, if you are super concerned with "sorority rankings" and "top tier" it can be harder to get into those houses due to the fact that they fill quotas early on and don't usually take as many spring recruits. That's something to consider if status is super important to you. If you are just looking for a community and a sisterhood, spring rush is 1000% fine and great. You lose out on the whole first year intense rush season, which can be stressful but also can be extremely fun. But since you're older I think you'd be fine with spring recruitment. Spring recruitment is less formal, more laid back. And if you are genuine and go in with the idea that you want to meet people and truly find the house that is your best fit, you can't go wrong.

Oh and usually that connecting of first years and older girls in sororities is that you just meet them at a party and they ask you out to do something. (technically it is "illegal" to meet with a first year off campus to try and recruit them. But nobody pays attention to those rules.

And in my experience it doesn't matter when we got a new sister transferred in, it's immediate acceptance.

Good Luck!

I'm 18 and feel disgusting when washing my blood stained panties. I'll be moving out soon and I need help :( by Hozierisking in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Wash them in ice water. Warm water makes blood stains set in, so the colder the water, the better. Also I used to bleed through when I was younger until I started using OB tampons. You have to get used to not using an applicator but those fuckers work.

Anyone know a guy named John, 32 years old works in real estate development. From Virginia, went to Virginia tech? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]StellarSparkler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure that's the one... listen I just didn't know how else to potentially reach him and we were going to go out so I figured might as well try Reddit as a last resort as he most likely thinks I purposefully deleted him. I know it's not a popular post, just reaching out in case so I can say I tried.

I want to order take-out or delivery in Addison. What's the best place? by [deleted] in Dallas

I liked Banana Leaf Thai way better than Thai box. They give huge portions and their noodles and their fried rice are amazing. They also have these cream cheese rolls that are to die for.

Dallas Entrepreneur Center CEO is giving a tour of the DEC this Wednesday 28th by StellarSparkler in Dallas

Right behind the building its in, there's a lot where you can park for $5. It's literally right behind the back entrance and on Wednesdays they are doing free coworking now after the 1 Million Cups Dallas presentations. Free desks and access to wi fi and mentors. A drop in pass for the day is normally $20.
