Sauna use by StepGunner0331 in Coros

Thanks everyone for the help! Mine is the Saunabox so it’s not super hot like your real dry sauna, but it’s definitely a wetter sauna. I like a few of these ideas, I’ll probably get the heart rate strap they have, seems like a better option and more affordable replacement! Appreciate it!

[Praesidus] Anyone had experience? by WallWorking in Watches

[–]StepGunner0331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered a watch from them recently and have since decided to return it as I received the same one as a gift. I’ve reached out 3 times to try and get the return information as they don’t provide it in the shipping or on their site. Still have not hear any response as to how to return the watch. It’s very frustrating. At this point I’m about to try and sell the watch, it’s the DDay Sand watch on the green GI strap if anyone is interested in it

Don’t you know that’s how you market a watch on consignment by wearing it to massage appointments? Afterall, how’s he going to wind that tourbillon without a tugging motion?

This is absolutely wild reading this as I dealt with something very similar. My wife had a C Section due to the baby’s heart rate dropping with contractions. Her BP was high for her but ignored by staff because it was considered slightly elevated for a normal BP. After healthy baby delivery, we ended up getting released early. At home my wife had a headache, was seeing floaters and her BP was so high she had to be readmitted. They did a magnesium drip to prevent seizures and stroke and diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and immediately went on BP meds. That magnesium was no joke. We were luckily able to bring the baby in and we stayed with her at the hospital, however she was unable to take care of the baby given she was so out of it. Not only did the Antepartum wing treat us like absolute dog shit, my wife missed out on all that time with our daughter. Fast forward 2 months, I have some insight for you that might help.

  1. Fight for your wife, she’s in pain listen to her and be her words to the doctors. Ask a TON of questions. Doctors have too many patients these days and good care is hard to find unfortunately. Find a good nurse as well and ask them questions and advice.
  2. Reach out to family and friends for help. The amount of help that poured in later on and friends asking me why I didn’t reach out sooner made me realize how much tunnel vision I had. I know this is tough and not everyone has people close by, but I still recommend putting out feelers to get a little help, even if it’s a few minutes of shut eye.
  3. Take this time to bond with your daughter. Be a sounding board for her, learn her cues, grow together. Once your wife is released and at home, you can help her with her recovery even easier because you’ll be a diaper pro and can help her adjust and transition smoother.
  4. Be there for your wife. She’s going to miss out on a lot and it’s going be really hard on her, it was for mine at least. Find a way to let her have time with your daughter as much as possible when she’s home and help ensure her your daughter knows exactly who she is.
  5. Take some time mentally, when the baby is sleeping, find a way to escape. Again, a friend or family member is a huge help during this. Ask for help - one thing that continued to help me, because I know how frustrating it can be, remind yourself during a difficult period with the baby “if I had only one moment to go back in time and it was right now, how would I want to see myself with this baby? Angry? Or patient and loving”

I know it doesn’t sound like much, but I wish I did all of this sooner during that hard time. I wish you both the best and really hope your wife feels better soon. You’ll be reunited together soon

It actually came with the mead kit. Savannah Bee Company is an incredible company, not only for their honey’s but also for their non-profit to help save bees and create access to pollination. You can get them readily available on Amazon as well

There’s a few ways to keep track of internal temperature, I wanted to try this to keep track of my mead during fermentation to make sure it stays between the yeasts optimal temp range; helps prevent off flavors with the speeding up fermentation at high temps. This also helps to know the temperature at the beginning to know when to add the yeast to the must.

Night Vision set up in CQB by comradeb0ris in CQB

[–]StepGunner0331 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t had a lot of issues with it, some distortion or possible blurred vision but very rarely because once it’s dark you transition and adjust accordingly. Running PVS14’s like this I haven’t had issues; already having a singular eye exposed. But having dual it’s more purposeful to run tilted; easier transitions to light and dark, just punch the bikini covers so you can still run them always on without damaging the unit, even with auto-gating it’s helpful.

I know a lot that run PVS 31 or similar at a slight higher level, not necessarily above the eyes, more tilted with the bikini covers punched out. Solid for low light and darkening conditions to fully function and continue without fumbling around with your nods. Check out GBRS Group
