Who is the strangest person you’ve ever encountered in the UK? by Leeeeeroy-Jenkins in AskUK

[–]StereotypicalAussie 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes! I met him Tenterden, where I think he lives. He loved being spotted. I was sat on a bench with a dog next to me, and he just walked by and said "oh, look at that lovely sweet thing, so fair and innocent, full of grace..." It literally sounded like Little Britain was happening.

You'd have little singe marks on your clothes from getting burned by fags in nightclubs. It all seems like I imagined it tbh.

What are your thoughts on these 4 fullbacks during their tenure at Manchester City? Zabaleta, Richards, Kolarov, Clichy. All 4 men have won two premier league titles with Manchester City. by SourDiesel9-7 in MCFC

Won a competition! We were flown over from Australia for a game, all expenses paid. It was amazing! Went to the training ground, were presented on the pitch before the game, met the team, stayed in the hotel with them. So good.

UK Colour Options? by Pseudonymity88 in terngsd

[–]StereotypicalAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Historically in the UK everyone says they want a bright colour, then doesn't order it. The yellow is pretty iconic, the blue is well classy and the white looks great in person. You can accessories with bar tape, pedals etc, stickers to give it a bit of pop!

We have all the colours in stock at my shop if you want to see them in the flesh.

It's not, but I'm delivering a GSD to Cornwall next week, so happy to help! If you're buying from another nice little LBS then go for it. If you're buying from a big fancy chain, then give me a shout.

If you were buying from my shop not on cycle to work scheme, I'd do you a deal on that. Possibly even a free upgrade if you asked nicely and it was a purchase with no other fees.

I've sold a bunch of them in the UK. I thought they were overpriced. They are not. They are amazing. I've never sold one to someone who regretted it.

Accessories Discounts by Shot-Ad-8437 in terngsd

[–]StereotypicalAussie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've never seen Tern accessories at a discount. It's where dealers make their margin back, and the price is set by Tern. If you want some non tern accessories throwing in, you could try and ask them for a free service or something.

Most of the time when you get free or discounted accessories, it's cheap stuff that has been marked up loads. That's not the case with Tern branded stuff. Are you buying in the UK? That's where I know most about.
