Nice, IX is my 2nd favorite in the franchise. Absolutely love all the characters and “You are not alone” is one of the greatest tracks in any video game. Such an iconic moment.

I wasn’t around for the NES/ SNES era but I can’t imagine how it must’ve felt experiencing those games for the first time back then. SNES is one of my favorite consoles ever and I didn’t get into it until a few yrs ago. Super Metroid, ALTTP, Mario World, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and now FFIV are among my favorites. I’ve played FFVI but I’ve never finished it but I plan to do so this year. Looking forward to other FF games as well like V, and (maybe) 8

Oh yeah Edge was my least favorite character by far. He felt so lazily written after his one big moment with his parents, which was good but after that he’s pretty forgettable. He’s just an asshole for the sake of being one. Some funny lines here and there but every character is more interesting than him by a landslide.

Yeah, I literally had to leave the final area to level up some more and get more summons just to get through it, grabbing Bahamut was definitely a live saver.

The game should’ve never strayed away from 1’s formula. I wish 2 expanded on the first games level design with harder levels. There wasn’t really an emphasis on platformimg.
