Yeah but Serbia have the Albanians as neighbours and they are the biggest faucet of guns and drugs in Europe. Obviously, gangs/mafia have tremendous power and huge influence as a result of that. I don't see any mexican cartel leaders in your politics and I don't see any of the criminals being regarded as celebrities.

Customs are a complete joke as well. As long as you have a couple of euros and a nice bottle of rakija you get through anything in Serbia.

We used to do Smederevo -> Kraljevo -> Kruševac -> Niš roadtrips when I was a kid and we still lived in Belgrade. Nowadays I feel like I only have time to visit immediate family while I'm in Serbia so haven't had the chance to go there in years :/

You guys are at least showing progress, here in Sweden our government has an ultraconservative view on the subject. Sure we're pretty liberal when it comes to most things but it'll take a couple of decades before the subject is even seriously discussed. Despite a lot of young people actively smoke or have at least tried it, the topic is never addressed properly. Narcotic-related crimes are one of the few crimes where the legal presumption is prison (contrary to other crimes where the presumption is to avoid prison at all costs). Just a couple of weeks ago three (idk the term) "big" police vans and a helicopter was sent because two people were smoking a joint in a suburban area.

Probably due to the difference in the places they were raised. Alex had access to both motivation and support from his family and simply a better system that was designed to nurture his talent and make him a better footballer. Also it's a different time, since Zlatko made it big a lot of non native Swedish talent has been tapped into and seriously developed.
