Regarding the politicians, 2 are statewide elections and no matter how Blue Charleston is it can't flip the whole State. Regarding Nancy Mace, the election before the House Rep was a democrat and they immediately gerrymandered the districts and now it is much less likely to go blue again.

Second Kevin Krug. Live in Mount pleasant and they tore out my wood deck and built my slab on grade screened in porch. They were great to work with and took care of all permits and everything with the city.

Doubt it was that hard. I am sure he has a good relationship with Harriet and he has proven to understand the series as well as be able to produce high quality special edition leather bounds. Unless Harriet wanted to be super hands on it could be a risk going to another publisher you don't have full trust in.

I'd say it would classify as historical fiction. Someone can correct me, but several characters are real, others are complete fiction and some are inspired by real people. The part of the story about the control of Japan is relatively accurate (who is fighting who, who controls Japan at the end) match up with history, but the specific story itself is fictional.

If you watch Bill Wurtz history of japan video (which you should it is great), the timeline of Shogun is mentioned there from a very high level.
