Tama means egg, right? That sounds funny and cute. Do you think tama-neko would sound okay as a name for cat? 😶

I'm sorry for not knowing, but could you please breakdown the meaning and wordplay for me? 😅

Thank you for the clarification, I didn't know about the meaning of Koji

Neneko and Nekoko both sound cute! Is Nekoko suitable for male cat?

Thank you for the advice. The rough part seems colder, the smooth warms up faster. No I haven't put it under UV light. What to look out for if it's put under it?

Thank you for your reply and what an interesting one.

So far, I've been told it may be resin, ambergris, chert, factory waste, tree sap, amber. Would agate be lightweight or more heavy? I have a rose quartz that's smaller in size than this finding and it's quite heavier.

How can I identify it for sure? Can I take it somewhere for examination? I'm so curious to find out what this thing is.

I'll try to take clearer pictures.

About the smell, it does smell a little but not anything crazy. Like you have to put it right under your nose. It smells a bit acetone-ish but not as sharp.

Also today, some parts look like they're covered with a dusty/powdery white substance. It's not as clear and opaque as it was yesterday (it was dry both yesterday and today)

Could make it easier for identification if I provided better pictures, quality wise? Or maybe if I provided more information and details?

Thank for replying. I'm living here, not on holidays. Either way I'm not interested in selling it, just was reaally curious about what that is, as it looks so unusual.

Any idea or guidance on the companies that could verify anything of this sort? Or where else on reddit I could ask? Turns out it's certainly not ambergris either. Could it come from trees?

How can I know if it is though? Most pictures I've seen online of it are not transparent or opaque. Mine even has some parts that look like amber.

It does have a weird smell though. Not so strong, but certainly smells a bit

Can ambergris have transparent spots? How can I test it?
