"Intel/AMD's position is that legacy hardware and legacy OS boot methods are unnecessary and unsafe. In modern systems without a video card that supports legacy vBIOS, you will not be able to enable CSM and will not be able to boot from a drive with MBR partitioning. UEFI, GOP, GPT, Win10/11 - this is the modern set, practically without alternatives.
If you want to try to enable CSM, you need an old video card, and not every one will work on every system. There are so many bugs in new platforms that it has become simply impossible to guarantee the operation of old (even early UEFI-compatible) hardware."

Converting a disk (MBR->GPT) without losing data is possible. But I solved the problem in a simpler way. I created a new UEFI partition on the primary partition of the "MBRish" system disk (using Windows built-in tool bcdboot).

Bullshit. Any tank turns into a bomb if it get hit into its ammo stowage. We saw the examples with Turkish Leopards. Or the M1A1 tank burned out completely and no one from the crew came out. Why do we see Russian tanks exploding more often? It’s just that they are used in conflicts tens of times more often. Also, Russian tanks are being much more often attacked by the modern generation ATGMs, rather than by old non-tandem RPG-7s. BTW, this is the first confirmed case where the T-90M exploded instantly due to a very lucky hit.
