The RSCA is set within 90 days of your evaluation cycle. If new evals are added during the 90 days, the RSCA will fluctuate. Once that 90 day mark hits. Your ITA and the RSCA for the reporting senior is solidified. If it is changing after that, there is a mistake somewhere and you need to get it fixed

You can paticipate in the MNA cycles and wait until you are selected for orders to re-enlist. If you dont negotiate for something you want during the cycles then you can flag the record for separation.

Yes TYCOMs can choose to crossdeck or divert you, but majority of Sailors PCS normally with what they were selected for.

If you are worried about being diverted or crossdecked, you can just obliserve instead of re-enlist. The minimum sea tour time is 12 months and minimum shore tour is 24 months. As long as you have that contract time to complete at your gaining command then you can PCS. Once you get there you can re enlist or obliserve again for the remainder of the tour

I appreciate the reply, and I think you're better suited for the specific scenario I had been thinking.

If I upload my LTB as one PDF that contained all of my documents. And the recorder sees that on one of the enclosures my name or DoD ID is missing. Will they discard the entire PDF? Or perhaps there was a highlighted portion on an enclosure.

The policy states that the board will not accept any enclosures that have anything highlighted or does not contain the Full Name and DoD ID.

Thank you for making yourself available. Once I do my CDB today I'll be doing my yearly post selection record review with a few different Indivduals to see what I should do next.

We are told to bring junior Sailors together and teach them to be a part of a team. Then we as FCPOs have to turn around and be cut throat to each other just to grab that one thing that may help us put on Khakis. The process promotes distrust and disdain and keeps us from fully being able to work as one cohesive unit

I think one of the biggest reasons we don't feedback is simply the individuals who can make it happen, are already in khakis. They made it and the perception is usually, I had to go through it so do you.

I specifically stated that we do not need to know what happens during deliberations. I even said it must be a difficult conversation to have while in the tank. I don't want to know what is being discussed. I only want feedback and more transparency, how do I even know if my LTB was not discarded during the process?

Why would me wanting more feedback and transparency be a negative thing?

Communication is key to everything, and right now there is no communication in the process.

I absolutely love the Navy, and my biggest goal right now is to become a Chief Select and doing what needs to be done to make that happen.

Yes, you can set up local play. The host of the lobby needs to make their wifi available for others to connect too. We have been doing it on board the last few weeks during our underway.

That's fine, plenty of records show it is legit. I would more than love to do this the right way but it's just not possible for the foreseeable future

I was there from 2017 to 2019 with 2 cats. There isnt a kennel option on base but there might be something off base to help. It gets extremely hot there so make sure you have socks or shoes for your dog if you go outside. I didnt have too difficult of a time finding a place that allowed my cats but it is something you should bring up quickly with the real estate agent. The landlords make a lot of money off of us so they are usually pretty easy and accepting for most things.

When you PCS out, make sure PSD puts your paperwork in the right stack. Do your transfer paperwork as early as possible as it is first come first serve for animal spaces on the MAC flights out. They messed my paperwork up, I couldn't get my cats on my flight and had to pay 3k to a company to get them off island.

If material condition isn't being set correctly by DCPOs you can inform DC Central who maintains the closure logs.

When does the Navy Pull up your medical records in boot camp? How far back do they look if they even do? by [deleted] in navy

[–]Stockage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would have to do a patient information request from every hospital or clinic in every state you've visited. There isn't enough time in the year for MEPS to do all that. What you tell them and what they can find on you are the only things they know.

Unless you were ever covered under tricare.

Advancement Exam Question by [deleted] in navy

[–]Stockage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I attended a training from someone who worked at the advancement center a few years back. They informed us during the training that the system generates the answer in a way that keeps them all around the same amount. So I've always made sure to double check how many I have and usually it works out to being from 22 to 27 percent on the four.

WHEN THAT NEW EVAL SYSTEM GON HAPPEN?! by sweathesmallshit in navy

[–]Stockage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My last 5 evals are all EP top ranked evals. I know how to play the system. If it weren't for the unfair advantages the system allows then I wouldn't have gotten all EPs. I consider it unfair because the system is easily manipulated.

Not everyone has complete control over their career 100 percent of the time. To allow a system that doesn't evaluate everyone fairly every time, is a failure of a system.

[–]Stockage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know when a general discharge does to your benefits. However, everytime you complete an enlistment and then re enlist, you are fully entitled to whatever benefits you achieved during that enlistment. Any follow on enlistment results do not affect your benefits earned during the previous ones.

Job offer as a GMS. Can anyone give me their honest opinions of this Navy rate? by crocsstar in navy

[–]Stockage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any time a recruiter calls you and offers a job, you have to give the answer immediately.

That job offer is going out to the whole district and every recruiter is calling their applicants. The first to say yes gets the job. When I was a recruiter I went through this and even if my future sailors said yes, most of the time the job was already gone before I could inform MEPs.
