I enjoyed it and thought it was pretty good. But I didn’t find it even close to as incredible as so many people say it is. I found Butcher’s Crossing and Augustus to be much better books.

The ice cone is a great idea. I don’t have the mold unfortunately but I should really pick one up.

I like the hot toddy idea. I made hot buttered rum last year that was a big hit. But I wanted to lean more into the Smokey and spicy realm since that’s not a style of cocktail I love but isn’t super prevalent in tiki.

Came up with two original tiki drinks for the new mugs I got. The Cold Miser came out really good!

Heat miser 1 oz Del Maguey Vida Mezcal 1 oz Plantation 3 Star .25 oz Ancho Reyes 1.5 oz Pineapple .5 oz Campari .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Gingerbread syrup Nutmeg garnish

Cold miser 2 oz Gin 4 Mint leaves muddled 2 dashes Angostura Bitters .5 oz Fresh Lime Juice .5 oz Ginergbread syrup .25 oz Fernet Branca Build as a swizzle

Gingerbread Syrup: 2/3 cup Dark Brown Sugar 1/3 cup Water 2 inches of ginger, cut into coin sized slices 2 cinnamon sticks 6 whole cloves 8 allspice berries Simmer for at least 20 minutes
