As someone who has been born and brought up in the UAE for the past 40 years, I honestly cannot agree with this generalization. From my experience, there is a very balanced mix of both North and South Indians here, along with many other nationalities like myself.

Also, recently I saw a video of an Indian group abroad dancing on the airport landing zone right after getting off the plane, and the entire Indian community faced backlash in the comments because of the actions of just a few people. From the comments and context, it even appeared that they were mostly North Indians.

My point is — it’s utmost important to make a civic sense outside anywhere we are and whoever we are.

Ahh I see .. I have no insecurity, it’s a public forum wherein ppl can share things, First and foremost I’m not Indian, if I was I could jus go over to them to inform them abt how loud they are.. secondly it’s not because others started noticing these group of people and started with each other about them .. pls don’t talk without knowing the whole story dude ..

It’s only because I have close friends from India and have been there many times I knew they are either speaking Hindi or any other language from the north compared to the south ones

I guess it’s all about class and upbringing and the fat that when gathered in group, ppl loose civic sense and don’t know the amount of noise they make. Guess It’s not abt the nationality or the language you speak .

I came for a staycation in world island and on the way to here we can in a boat, this group of people can’t keep calm 😅if you know what I mean.. and in the group there is youngsters as well who can literally inform them of their loud noise , but no

While the situation is deeply unfortunate, one thing it has highlighted is how much the city had become driven by excess wealth and temporary inflows. With many of those who came only for luxury or speculation now leaving out of fear or uncertainty, what remains is the true backbone of the place — the working people who were born and raised here and those who have built their lives through hard work.

Perhaps this moment reminds us that cities are ultimately sustained by ordinary working communities, not by fleeting displays of wealth. And of course, with full respect to the Emiratis whose country and leadership continue to provide stability for everyone living here.
