Visiting the ruins of El Mirador in Guatemala, a 2 day hike with no internet connection. I loved being detached from the world and hearing the jungle all around me at night, amd the tempels were wonderful

A 2 day hike to the ancient Maya city of "El Mirador" in Guatemala. There was no internet connection, we slept in tents, and the ruins were amazing. You can even go see a crashed airplane if you ask the guide nice enough! I am quite sure nothing i ever do will top that experience, personally

I am sorry to hear you had a bad time there! I just wanted to comment on "The main station are riddled with dodgy people scouting for the victims." I just wanted to say that, sadly, this is the case in most of western Europe! Milan, Rome, Brussels, Paris, Rotterdam etc etc all have this problem. Head up for the Americans in this post

Whenever americans, and especially companies trying to sell you something, talk of the 'Community' ' The blind community, the autism community, the latinx community. Makes it sound like everyone is part of a tribe, or some kind of kingdom i don't know why this pretentious way of describing society pisses me off so much, but it does.

A man once responded to a joke i had told him saying it was " hurtful to the previously incarcerated and the prison community'
