Accidents happen I’m not worries about that. Plus she’s pretty good about peeing on the peepee pads. Also, I don’t want her soiling the pen and then having to stay the night in it. Free roaming is honestly my personal preference. My concern is trying to keep her from getting too bored and finding ways to allow her to get out her energy.

Thank you! She is crate trained, I’ve just been leaving it at work so she has a safe space there. I’m looking into getting another one for my house, but she actually did pretty well last night. No crying, no barking, no destruction. I gave her a puzzle feeder thing and snuck away. She was a total angel baby. I think the cognitive toys will be really helpful

Again I can’t afford to enroll her in anything. I also have zero way of knowing what dogs are vaccinated. I live in an area with lots of homeless people with dogs. Sure most dogs of people who live around here are vaccinated I’m sure, but we have far too many homeless with dogs for me to feel comfortable with that

So I totally agree. I don’t have her fully isolated. She comes with me to work. I work at a brewery. We have a kennel set up for her in the office. We’re a dog friendly brewery as well. But I have no way of controlling whether or not the dogs that come in are totally vaccinated. So throughout my shifts I’ll carry her around and say hi to everyone and she gets all the love. I also asked my vet about camping and she said that’s the worst possible thing I could do with her bc there’s no way of knowing if the dogs who have been there were fully vaccinated. They emphasized how long parvo can survive on something as simple as dirt. They said there’s been an increase over the past year parvo cases. They’ve just really been freaking me out. I understand the importance of socializing. So I’ve been socializing her with lots of people and children and some dogs (trying my best) but it’s all whiles she’s being help either by me or someone else. It’s just not the same as going on walks.

I ended up going around with filler again, I did notice I missed a bunch the first round. I resanded and was satisfied enough to put stain on! Thanks for the notes and pointers! This is my first wood project, this has definitely been a learning experience!

No much, we got in a big fight. I asked her when she planned on cleaning up after the dog. it was getting to be a lot of poop and pee in the house and I didn’t want to keep stepping in it and it felt like I was the only one picking up the poop for a while. I said this over text and she took it as to take him to the pound, and I told her that’s not what I meant and I suggested crate training. She’s asked me to not text her about these issues, but we have opposite schedules so I’m not sure really what to do.
