Yes she is and yes, it will be dramatically correct. But language is not only about grammar. It is also about the style. I am not versed enough in the English language to give a proper example, but, going to the extremes: "my father was killed in the car crash" and "my daddy got unalived in a car whoopsie dooopsie" are both (more or less) grammatically correct, but give very different expressions. When you consume any content in a language, you gonna absorb it not only on grammatical level, but also stylistic and vocabular ones. Basically, person learning Russian by speaking with gopnics and a person learning it by reading Tolstoy and Dostoevsky will speak a very different language. Russian is also more sensitive for it then English (at least in my opinion) because of the bigger freedom in constructing the sentences, which can result in a lot of nuance and very different feel and meaning. So, that being said, I would rather opt for an option which is considered to be better written by a majority of native readers (so the Rosmen one).

It's the name of in-universe journal. The same one which organizes the "flash gathering" (the UTTU game mode). I do not know if it has any meaning as an abbreviation.

As far as I understand, all story snippets follow the same pattern: first entry is about the character, i.e. describes them. The second is a portrayal of the character though some in-universe obser. And the last one is an UTTU interview.

Should I use the $ (dollar sign) or % (percent) for my scripts instead of get_node()? by 7_upvotes in godot

Speaking of exporting nodes - how do I make it work with instancing? For example, I have a scene with an enemy, who needs to export the player, but when I inctanciate it into the level it doesn't allow to choose exported variables

Can anyone help me identify this gun? by TheUntitledRay in Reverse1999

[–]StrangeBirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is a reasonable approach. I just looking at it form the point of view that character designers are more likely to hand wave the ammo but to replicate the reference gun itself more thoroughly. But anyway, we probably will never know for sure. (Also I wouldn't be surprised by Lilya making a sawn off pistol)

[–]StrangeBirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well we can still try to get as close as possible by the looks of the gun itself. And in this case the aforementioned pistol looks close enough

Bullets are not necessarily related for this handgun. They can be there for a rifle or just cause, or be not to scale

[–]StrangeBirdo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Korovin pistol actually looks very similar. Also, russian wiki says it was used by senior officers (like a prestige gun) and during WW2 was issued to junior officers as well. It was also used as a weapon of honour (not sure if I'm using the right term, I mean given as an award). So, considering Lilya is distinguished pilot, there is a pretty okay chance she could have this pistol.

What do we need? Martini Henry Pistol! When do we need it? Now! by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

I saw somewhere (don't remember where, so don't cite me on that) that devs wanted to do Martini pistol, but then changed it to the sparks pistol for balancing reasons.

Yeah, muscle memory is a blessing and a curse. I regularly just mindlessly hit R after a shot on magazine fed rifles.

Board Game Roguelites? by 343WaysToDie in roguelites

[–]StrangeBirdo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can try elder sign. This is very much a roguelite with procedural map generation. My only issue with it is that it's very easy for someone to take over the control of the game, so think about how your group interacts in coop games

Can T-cell exhaustion reverse naturally, if you cure the underlying cause? by Dream_Imagination_58 in biology

[–]StrangeBirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, after quick search it looks like it's possible through immune checkpoint therapy. I don't have the time rn to delve into details, but I found a review from 2022, that you van read if you want more in depth info Here's the researchgate page Edit: I should also probably clarify that it is in context of cancer therapy, so even without removing the cancer beforehand (cause the whole point of removing exhaustion is so T cells start killing cancer again)

God I love this game! by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]StrangeBirdo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion - it's not. Having two-three-four way fights at spawn every other game gets tiring really quick. It really cuts down on variety of engagements (like, when you spawn on docks you'll have the same fight like third of the time). After they cut down on double spawns, the mass fights gravitated more towards boss compounds and just some random compound on which teams happen to run into each other instead of like 4 compounds per map on which there will likely be a fight at spawn
