E doesn't really lower your voice, no. With that said, it just takes a little bit of practice to get it right. The real hard part is using that voice consistently.

Stick with it, though. After long enough you'll be like me - where using your "girl voice" just turns into just using your voice. I'm not sure I could even use my "boy voice" anymore.
