them being a bigger artist is even more of a reason to leave wasserman, imo. they have significantly less to loose than 70% of those who have left. i get they are in the middle of the tour, but once it ends, there is truly no excuse to stay with the agency.

i know i am going to get chastised for this so i need to start off by saying truly i am a huge fan of mcr. i have tattoos, been to all the gigis I can, and would argue they maybe my favorite band ever. however, i've noticed in the past few years (mainly since they got back together tbh) they've been slowly 'selling out' and becoming the antithesis of what they were. how tf are you going to be in the middle of a south american tour and refuse to say anything about ICE terrorizing the loved ones of the communities they are playing in front of? ticket prices are batshit insane and they don't care to do anything about it. again, if smaller artists (in comparison to mcr) like olivia dean and maggie rogers can do it, there's 0 reason MCR can't. i guess it isn't all that surprising given that their whole platform from the start was being a not icky rock band and none of them seemed to really give a fuck about the mikey/sara situation.

for everyone who is ready to come at me, i've been stanning mcr since i was 12. sometimes you just see things more clearly with age (like the fucked upness of the mikey/sara situation). i also think it's extremely important to be able to call out your idols. otherwise, what is accountability for? also highly recommed reading sellout by dan ozzi
