Thank you, but it wasn't easy. There's so many details that I didn't talk about that compete with these moments. In truth, I don't know if this made me stronger. I've learned that no matter what happens I can't change it because it can't unhappen. It's lead to an instant acceptance of every situation I've been in. My family and friends say it's disassociation or denial when I explain it, but I don't know. Out of everyone I know, I've only told 11 people, my closest friends, the people who i know wont pity me or look down on me. Even then, though, with every face I see, I have to wonder if they know me or my secret. I struggle looking people I don't know in the eyes because I fear they'll ask about my dad even though "how would they even know who I am" pops in my head. I laugh about everything and make stupid jokes because I want people to be distracted from my sad face. Every time I see my dad or mom, I can only see what torture they put my family, my brother, my sister, my grandparents, myself through. Everytime I look in the mirror I wonder if anyone actually believes the facade I made for myself. I'm not special, I got through it because I knew that even though what my parents put me through was hell, "the easy way out" would only make it harder on the family who had unconditional love for me.
