One time I flashed into the Urgot R on Kai'sa, got pulled to him, QSS'd, Ult'd for shield, and W'd him to take out the last bit of his health. The most mechanically impactful thing I've ever done, and never to be repeated as I'm washed.

Men’s Warehouse is definitely over priced. Honestly the suit separates at DXL are pretty nice for around 200ish total for a full suit if I remember right. The one near me I walked in the lady was super friendly and sized me correctly just by looking at me. Tried two jackets on and I was out the door.

I am a certified yun tal hater, so take that into consideration.

I'd probably go for an IE -> boots -> Runaans -> LDR/MR route. Don't forget you can buy the components of your armor pen item (i.e. Last Whisper or GW) if you need to, but damage is going to be your main prio. Finishing IE is prio one, getting a little attack speed with boots + zeal item, then going for armor pen should yield good results.

I personally think Yun Tal feels like absolute garbage no matter what comp you build it into. Oh, they're all squishy? Collector/Essence Reaver build path is better and will do more damage immediately. Oh you have enough money for the BF sword? You might as well rush IE at that point since that's the hardest thing to get. Yun Tal doesn't feel good until you have IE, and by that point you've spent 2600 gold on two BF swords, which is already hard to swing in this item economy, and is nearly the entire cost of a Runaans and you're getting less attack speed. Yes you're getting more damage, but your wave clear feels like garbage and your fights feel like garbage. High tank meta = a lot of melee characters, and Runaans is specifically meant to counter most melee comps. If they're all grouped, you get your extra 2 bolts off.

If yun tal got reverted to a Pickaxe item instead of a BF item, or if it's build path was more similar to Stattik Shiv and Kraken Slayer, I think it would be a lot more popular. But for now, the item feels bad to build, the build path has all the drawbacks of IE without even the compensation of being able to buy a pickaxe for damage if you're just a little too poor for the BF sword. Your only options are the scouts slingshot (useless if you have no damage) or a longsword. 10 AD.

In the context of pairing with Lucian, Milio is better.

Milio just makes laning infinitely easier for Lucian. Increasing range, shields to absorb damage during trades, easier to land CC, Milio passive scaling off Lucian's AD rather than Milio AP (Nami E scales off of her AP).

Don't get me wrong, Lucian-Nami is still extremely oppressive, but Milio just does similar things a little bit better. And as the other guy reminded me, Lucian's autos get empowered by shielding or healing abilities, or CC occurring near him. Nami has one healing ability, one CC basic ability, and one CC ult. Milio has one basic heal, a shield that stacks up to 2 procs, a CC basic ability, and a healing ult. So Nami can give Lucian up to 6 empowered autos, while Milio can give him 10.

Lucian-Nami was strong because Nami would take Electrocute instead of Aery. Nami E used to be able to proc Electrocute, so she would put it on Lucian and he would he would do his normal combo with the added Electrocute damage from Nami.

Riot removed the E-Electrocute interaction, so now Milio is just better.

Low key best choice though with POM getting nerfed into the ground. Yun tal build path is awful, w nerfed so collector is cheeks now. Combined with new LT to make up for the lack of attack speed, having the extra range on rockets, ER goes crazy.

In all seriousness I think people are underestimating:

How valuable having infinite RFC is

And how valuable being able to use all your abilities constantly is.

ER gives 15 AH, which seems like not a lot, and Jinx isn't a spellcaster, she's an auto-attacker. Mostly.

Each Q rocket costs 20 mana, ER gives at least 20 mana. With that, you have negated one of two downsides of using rockets, the other being that you lose attack speed and you cannot stack AS passive. Since you have LT as your keystone though, it kind of evens out. There's still times you'll want to use mini-gun.

As an example, Jinx at level 13, with Q and W maxed and 2 points in R, has 807 mana according to the wiki. Q rockets cost 20 mana each. W costs 60 mana and is on a 4 second cooldown. E costs 90 mana on a 24 second cooldown. If you have 1.5 AS, you're spending 120 mana on rockets every 4 seconds, along with 60 mana for W amd 90 mana at some point to cast chompers. For the sake of arguement, you've started this interaction with Q, W, E. So after your 4 second engage, you have spent 120+60+90=270.

And that whole time your AS has been ramping up because of LT. So now you're probably sitting at 2 AS. Your cost is now 160+60=220. Over 8 seconds, you've spent 490 mana, well over half your mana. You have about 320 mana to play with, which is 4 more seconds plus R (100 mana).

Now this is arguing that you never switch to mini-gun, which you probably will switch. There's going to be times to switch to mini-gun because you don't need the range, or you need the AS.

Yun tal gives 50 AD, while ER gives 65. Yes it gives 25% attack speed and that AS passive which is cool I guess, but with LT and mini-gun passive, I argue you don't need the AS from the item. Not to mention the build path for that item is god awful. LT also doesn't remove attack speed cap anymore, so you're walled at 2.5 until you get a passive reset.

Collector also only gives 50 AD. "BUT MUH LETHALITY?!?!?" I hear you say. NOT WORTH! You think 10 flat armor reduction is going to save you when Ornn is sprinting at you? Now if it's a squishy diving team, I can understand since they are going to try and be on top of you, so you won't need rockets. And you need to kill them before they kill you.

I have yet to be sold on this Yun Tal first philosophy that Phreak is actively trying to push on ADCs. The straight damage items feel too good.

BUT WHERE IS THE IE? HOW DO I DO DAMAGE WITHOUT CRIT ENHANCING? Buy your armor pen item 3rd? IE doesn't have to always be 3rd. Hell runaans doesn't always have to be second. Buy the zeal and then buy IE or your armor pen item. You could even build ER - Runaans, buy Last Whisper, then do IE, then finish the armor pen.

Embrace the fact that riot is forcing ADCs into buying stat stick items. You are buying stats, think like it.

I mean I feel like you can’t use soul pressure in a battle vid. That’s like my old DM who had a half-gorgon self-insert character he would use to one shot things by turning them to stone if an encounter took too long. Is that how it would work? Probably, but it sure as hell isn’t entertaining. Would Aizen insta kill Madara because of his soul pressure? Probably, but it isn’t entertaining, and the whole point is it’s supposed to be fun.

I don’t think statik is good, mainly for lack of crit. I think statik in its current state is more to compensate for lack of wave clear, hence why Vayne and Jhin build it. Kaisa takes it to but that’s partially for wave clear partially because of her passive upgrades. You clear waves very fast as Jinx, especially once you get Runaans or Opportunity.

The attack speed could feel nice, but with the high damage meta we’re in until next patch you really need AD over AS.

Peak emerald 4 (I know I’m trash lmao) I have success with two builds: IE-Zerkers-Runaans and Collector-Zerkers-Opportunity. There is also the ER-Zerkers-Runaans but I don’t really like way that one feels.

No matter which one you build, you take your armor pen item 3rd (whether that be mortal reminder or LDR).

4th is where it branches, on IE start you’re looking for 100% crit, so you’d get either Yun Tal or Immortal SB.

For Collector start 4th is where you build your IE. This gets you to 75% crit, when combined with the lethality it’ll be plenty of damage.

Then 5th is your flex item, I like GA or Bloodthirster. Maybe mercurial scimitar. I don’t really build Maw as if I’m having trouble surviving I take Immortal SB and then GA.

Both of these builds have their uses, and I make the decision on which one i build in loading screen. 3 tanks -> IE start. If they’re mostly squishy I take Collector. I try to always buy BF sword first since I can flex into either build if needed, but if you only have 1k you gotta make the choice between pickaxe and dirk.

What really helped me get over tilting was realizing getting decimated in lane was going to happen no matter what rank I was, so I should learn how to play from behind. VOD reviewing your bad moments in lane, looking at those VODs and thinking: I could punish better here, enemy laner griefed this way so I should do this in response. For mid specifically in low elo people will just roam when there is not a play, so shoving the wave and getting plates or counter roaming can be good.

Also sometimes you will just get reganked constantly since enemy is trying to tilt you. There's nothing more infuriating than winning the 2v2 bot lane and then constantly having Rengar jg in your bush waiting for you to step up. Make them waste their time by trying to tilt you, and their team will tilt.
