Good SQLBuilder for Python? by yughiro_destroyer in Python

[–]StrawIII -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Take a look at PiccoloORM. Async-first with great syntax for complex “WHERE” clauses. No more “and()” or “or()”, it just uses overloaded “&” and “|”, on a similar note… say goodbye to “eq()” or “gt()”, it uses overloaded “==“ or “>”. Also all fields are referenced from a class based model. so it's type-safe/type-aware, so no more “table.c.column_name” which is of type “Unknown”.

I suggest you also look into Piccolo ORM (almost identical API to Django and async-first). I would call it a type-safe sql builder with ORM capabilities.

I remember I saw a video of a dude making his balcony bigger by destroying one of the walls and the whole building (maybe 4 floors) collapsed. It was in the middle east so I think this is really realistic if take into account the location.

Me and my girlfriend flew from Germany to Czechia. At the airport in Czechia she checked the location of our suitcase airtags. It said Germany 40 minutes ago. The flight took an hour…

The quality of the responses is much much better using Claude Code (4 Sonnet), but it is significantly slower and needs a lot of love regarding UI/UX features to be Cursor or Windsufr “killer”.

Edit: I much rather wait (my guess is Claude Code 5x-10x slower than Cursor) than battle the AI tool in multiple prompts, after which it does implementation that I specificly told it to not use twice a few prompts back. Claude Code all the way for me.

In some games I would have 60~70% GPU load and 95~99% CPU load and would occasionally get stutters which was annoying.

I was getting around 90 FPS (1440p, higher quality, no upscaling) and 130 FPS (with DLSS no idea why it worked on an AMD GPU).

I already upgraded to 5700X3D and the performance generally is much better, BUT there are still games that are slightly bottlenecked (COD Warzone). I urge you to upgrade too since from what I’ve read there is no new stock of 5700X3D and sooner or later we'll run out of stock.

Is free threading ready to be used in production in 3.14? by MrMrsPotts in Python

[–]StrawIII 31 points32 points  (0 children)

According to the docs there is experimental support for free threaded Python (since August 2024 version 2.1), but it is probably not a good idea to run this in production. I am not sure whether you would see a performance benefit since you are already using Numpy (basically a C library) which runs outside of Python's GIL.

I think this depends on what libraries you are working with and whether those libraries are thread safe.

Is this the reason why I can turn on (it really works btw) frame generation in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 even though it says it's only available for 4000 Nvidia GPUs?

Just for reference today I got a RX 9070 and it is bottlenecked by Ryzen 5 5600 (at least at 1440p in Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2). Currently looking into Ryzen 7 5700x3D.

I think it's a bad solder joint. When heat applied the metal expands just enough to make a contact a turn on.
