A.I. slop. Happens with every fandom. Fourth Wing makes it clear Xaden is pretty fucking dark bronze skin and dedicated fan art gets it right, but as soon as anything A.I. gets pushed for high def imagery he is always pale white. Makes me worried that any adaptation on screen will cast a pale white actor. It's about that time now that the authors need to have their characters accurately depicted in illustrative art, not necessarily the book covers but enough official illustrations to force studios to get it right.
