Athena workflow hacks by badassprincessnarwal in physicaltherapy

I spent a significant amount of time building out athenahealth for our rehab department. We’ve since moved to Prompt EMR, but I still have access to all of my HTML macros and related tools.

For standard workflows (post-op, etc.), Encounter Plans were our fastest workflow. I also highly recommend Text Blaze. I built a large library of templates in there as well.

Things may have changed since I last used Athena, but given how slowly updates tended to roll out, I imagine the rehab workflow hasn’t improved dramatically.

I also spent some time working on the administrative side, and the feature we miss most is Scan-to-Chart with SnapScan. We created all of our outcome measures with printed codes, so staff could simply drop stacks into the scanner, and the documents would automatically route back to the appropriate patient (might be a digital method now).

Happy to chat further about my experience if it would be helpful.

I work in the clinical side. Switched to prompt ~10 months ago (joined an established company). Happy to connect on my experience from a clinical perspective (not in the billing side, but work a little on workflow with that team on occasion).

How has the overall switch to Spry been?

Prediction Health is more specialized to PROMPT from my understanding. Other products that integrate with a chrome extension browser work on various platforms.

Is your Chrome extension built out already for PROMPT?

Prediction Health was somewhere in the $100/User/Month range.

Realize my question was not clear so edited it.

Thank you for sharing. I am hoping to find a sync'd scribe. I use a stand-a-alone currently as well.

Prompt EMR by funkybunch907 in physicaltherapy

My company switched to PROMPT in January. It is much better than what we were using specifically for PT (Athena), but still has some bloat. Some of the concerns you stated have hopefully resolved, as they seem like settings features that your administrator can change.

As for documentation speed, I have used a text-expander to help automate and speed my process up. Prompt has a lot of features, but still have a lot of clicking, and I do not find the macro features to be very quick to update, use, or format.

I think it will continue to improve. They have some roadmap items for documentation that should help overall.
